I'd be surprised. This is a trope-heavy, predictable series, so a predictably unpredictable twist in probable. For one, Saint Germain doesn't seem too thrilled to work for him. My guess is he's trying to power him up to serve as a counter for something even more dangerous, probably an alien threat of some sort.

lol they have accomplished something even an entire alien civilization couldn't with such an ease, it turned around and become comical for me. I'm all for hyping up the bad guys but what is the plan to fight this Thenos reject with all infinity stones? Swinging an oversized stick? Power of Friendship™ ? How is he NOT gonna no diff everyone without ass pull after asspull in the final fight?

The knives are supposed to steal yokai powers right? Seems like a pretty big lore drop that Momo's powers were yokai based and not just spiritual power (presumably like Seiko?) unless I'm missing or forgetting something. Unless "Alice" (a human in a fantastical world) is meant to symbolize regular spiritual power among fantastical yokai power. Much to think about

So Momo's powers were actually stolen, instead of having returned to a dormant state from her amnesia as I thought. And Zuma's too, though we never saw him again after they reached that temple (in fact, where is he?).
"Vlad"... As in Vlad Dracul? Is that good ol' Drac?

Well Momo seemed to have some sort of abilities a few chapters ago, so something might not be final for her. We also have how powerful she was when she first got her abilities and there was some hints at her eventually reaching back to that level. If Tatsu hasn't forgotten that, there's lots of ways this could go for everyone.

This has to be the greatest fall from grace of any manga. The fact that peak can get so bad should be studied. I fully believe it'll be better once we know the full picture but these last few chapters have been torture to read

Reiko could no diff the whole team and the aliens at the same time, she remains the high water mark as far as power levels go in this series and she conveniently ran off to do her own thing at the end of the last fight with the Kur. Even back then, I kind of always assumed she'd show up again to form a contract with Momo, as it's weird for the main character to not have her own transformation in her own series.

The implication from what I've gathered is that Saint Germain gave her those powers, same with Zuma. Then he stole them back. That's why the the least interesting character design in the history of manga asks him what the point was of giving those powers away to start with.
