After that Yandere scene, I think the author is trying to say something about having to continue this manga lol
But she can change! It's not that she's AGAINST murder-suicide, it just feels like that's skipping the more fun parts, like the stalking and leaving creepy tokens of love! Just give her a chance, I'm sure she can find good bleedy-spot to stab!Yuna's not that kind of Yandere, Hodaka. I know you're a pessimist but pfft!
"ooooooh he'd never pick them because of what they did to him at the start of the series"I mean… considering what Takae and Ushigome did to him at the beginning of the series, there’s no way he could pick them in the first place, no matter how much they changed.
Time to face the consequences of your past acts, girls !!
lol Incel detected.Well ushigome was a slut at the begining of the story seducing dudes to buy her stuff.
Can't feel sorry for her

Don't ask me why I enjoy making memes of this comic so much, I just do, everybody's got to have a hobby
The idea that he holds a grudge or is traumatized is just headcanon, meanwhile this dude actually imagined Hanako beating his face in despite all they went through together.
The comment section cares more about than the protagonist (who's just an oblivious virgin MC that can't handle girls flirting with him) while Ushigomi did......barely anything worth mentioning to him. compared to Takae (both of whom were the two most popular girls after Hanako in the popularity poll they did)
You get waaay too worked out about other ppl opinions on a manga to be calling others "incel" 🤡"ooooooh he'd never pick them because of what they did to him at the start of the series"

I wouldn't call it a character assassination, since the whole chapter is contrasting Saotome's massive insecurity and pessimism going berserk with how girls actually act. He has similar fears regarding even Hanako and nobody called that chapter a character assassination for her. This arc has been a pretty continuous character assassination of Ushigome. Which I guess can be expected; you make a character that likeable over time and yet telegraphed from the start that she couldn't win, so you end up in this corner of needing to reduce her likeability pretty suddenly.
Wild that people think this is a return to her start, though. In the beginning she had a transactional view of relationships and hadn't felt real romantic feelings yet. That doesn't make her bad, it makes her someone capable of growth (which she got). The yandere vibes were also always shown more as that she got panicked and depressed about the idea of Saotome not liking her. She never showed any inclination for violence or other dramatic actions. Now the author is playing it up to make her getting rejected more digestible for the audience.
Meanwhile people think Takae is better even though she literally bullied Saotome in the beginning?? Crazy. Not that it will matter in the end anyhow.
The actually unfortunate thing here is that the rejections indicate we are almost certainly not getting a poly ending. Not that there was ever a good chance of that, but one can hope.
Takae has 0 chances, with the bulling and blackmail at the start really never became a likable character. This arc has been a pretty continuous character assassination of Ushigome. I feel like less of a return to the early days and more of a reckoning with them. The series spent the last arc both bashing open Saotomes emotional walls and building up the confrontation between him and the girls about source of them. It is only natural for Ushigome to be the first one to truly pry through his insecurity but also the first one to get rejected for that.Oh hey, a return to the early days
True 🤣🤣 jokes at the end are most of time better than the chapterI mean, if we are being honest, lately, I have been looking more forward to the bonus meme at the end of each chapter than the chapters themselves... so, by all means, go crazy and don't forget to share them !!
I don't mean just this chapter, but the past arc. Where Ushigome freely broke "rules" and was conscious of it and unrepentant and basically just presented as being selfish and conniving the whole time.I wouldn't call it a character assassination, since the whole chapter is contrasting Saotome's massive insecurity and pessimism going berserk with how girls actually act. Honestly, Ushigome was always pretty wanton. It's not her suddenly changing, it's her finally growing impatient and feeling pressure of time. It was their last school trip and all of the girls were acting under pressure due to that. She was always quite selfish, it's just that for most of the series she was content with just coasting through the school and hanging out with her friends. We've seen her more selfish and driven side already during the second Culture Festival arc.I don't mean just this chapter, but the past arc. Where Ushigome freely broke "rules" and was conscious of it and unrepentant and basically just presented as being selfish and conniving the whole time.
Saotome has the wrong idea about Hanako largely because she herself constantly denied her feelings towards him, which Ushigome never did.
