we see one vampire ex-wife, and 11 kids, presumably all different, so likely at least 12. as mentioned, it's fully possible there are more , but his others kids aren't interested in his inheritance . other possibilities: he smashed, but didn't actually impregnate some races , or he had other kids, but they are already died (likely killed ahead of time because this inheritance war is clearly shady).

Money may not be the main motivator for many of them. Giant didn't specifically 'need' money either, he just wanted to be a lot richer to gloat over other giants.

the hero's inheritance may also be really vast, and not include just money. like how many elite equipment, elixirs, ancient spell-books, or other secrets of the world could he have collected? like it might be enough to fund/conquer a nation or more.

familiar suggesting that hero actually wants them to fight each other (to the death?) also makes it seem like there's likely more to inheritance than just being a multi-millionaire. Like the prestige of being the hero's inheritor may be revealed to be very important.

overall, interesting premise, but only 11(?) kids and 1 ex-wife, and one already eliminated, with two others looking like they're ready to fight too, doesn't make this seem like it'll last very long.
By most context clues, she's not the actual ex-wife, but family of the ex-wife. And by that, the kid he left behind. If this is the case, by we she's talking about her family separating from the hero's, which isn't a rare approach in the dynastic context.

wait what? how did he fuck the giant anyway? 😂
1. giants aren't guaranteed to have giant genitalia, real world example: gorillas actually have smaller penises than humans
2. hero can transform his penis size
3. hero can spray pretty far/deep when he releases
4. magical artificial insemination, like if hero/giant mom really wanted the kid.
Also, we don't know how big giant mom is, fully possible she is small for a giant too.

? unless there is some Japanese wordplay or mistranslation, she's clearly referring to herself divorcing the hero. family wouldn't say 'we' divorced but refer to ex-wife as 'she' divorced him or 'mom/sis/ daughter' divorced him

I already explained why or how a member of a family would refer to the family as "we", but if you claim it actually doesn't exist at all without anything to grab onto, then there's little I can say to that. Suit yourself.

your explanation doesn't make sense grammatically in English. she refers to 'we' in the context of 'divorce' (marriage dissolution) with hero , 'divorce' only refers to the couple by definition , so she obviously isn't referring to other members of her family
but if you claim it actually doesn't exist at all without anything to grab onto, then there's little I can say to that. Suit yourself.
you're the one who is claiming nonsense without anything to grab onto, so there's little I can say to that , except: look up any English dictionary

同じサイズの物しか無いので助かります

Yao3:
(Ah, what a relief. It managed to fit in the coffin.) It is fortunate that they only come in one size.

Abandoned Kids Scans
(Oh, that's great. Looks like he fits in the coffin.) I only have one this size, so that's a relief. :salute:

DeepL:
It's helpful that they only have items of the same size. :nyoron:

Google Translate:
It's helpful because there are only items of the same size available. :wooow:

ChatGPT:
The sentence 同じサイズの物しか無いので助かります translates to:

“It helps that you only have items in the same size.”
or more naturally in English:
“It’s helpful since you only have one size available.” :wtf:

ChatGPT (after explaining context):
In this context, the tone is slightly dark but matter-of-fact. A precise translation would be:

“Ah, thank goodness.
It looks like I can somehow get him into the coffin.
Since I only have coffins of the same size, this helps.”

Or more naturally in English:

“Ah, good. Looks like I can manage to fit him in the coffin.
It’s a relief since all I have are ones of the same size.”

Breakdown

鳴呼よかった — “Ah, thank goodness.” (鳴呼 is an exclamatory “ah,” somewhat dramatic/old-fashioned in manga tone.)

何とか棺に入りそうです — “It looks like I can somehow get him into the coffin.” (入りそう = “seems like it will fit.”)

同じサイズの物しか無いので助かります —
Literally: “Since there are only things of the same size, that helps.”
In context, 物 refers to the coffins he has available.
The implication is: He doesn’t have different coffin sizes to choose from, so it’s fortunate this one works.

Isekai manga where the hero runs around gathering a harem are a dime a dozen. I guess this is the result of the ones that feature monster girls.

Hold on guys let me cook.

What if there comes a person who came there to grieve just like normal people? They're not in it for the money, just there to give respects to their late father.

What if that person respected their father so much that they don't mind getting their inheritance stolen since their main purpose there is to grieve?

How would Watari (the familiar) act then?

He keeps going on an on about "The next 49 days are to grieve and give respects. If a child were to fall into greed and still lose, they do not deserve to be the child of the Hero."

What if someone just straight up does what he said? Grieve for the next 49 days and doesn't even engage in a single bit of combat to steal or protect their own inheritance?

I wonder what would happen.

Very interesting premise, let's see where this goes.

These are just the people who survived and managed to show up. The actual extent of the hero's freakiness might be even worse...

This is only the first chapter but I feel like there isn't enough information given to us.

I'm guessing that the death game showdown thing was made by either the hero, familiar or both. Meaning they are trying to do something but I can't be certain if it is just killing weak and greedy offspring to get rid of them and not something else. Maybe they want the children to get along?

I'm rooting for the guy who claims to be a normal human. I bet he'll make it to the top 3 at least, if it is a death game.

I hope this ends up being more than just a death game. Maybe it will teach us something about family or friendship?
