According to the Internet (Smithsonian Ocean, Google, etc.), it seems seals do melt a bit of ice when they're resting through their body heat.Do seals really melt the snow around them? I would think that would be a huge loss of body heat
And as an evil Canadian that obviously hunts and clubs baby seals, let me tell you not to be fooled by those eyes and that defenseless stare! Those lil shits are evil and will eat all your fish, leaving you to starve in the cold! Also, they can bite quite hard. (/s if that's not obvious.)
