Both Luffy and Loki are showing that legends aren't just tall tales to tell the kids. That they were real at a point in history, and for those who don't know history, they are bound to repeat it. I believe this time Nika and Nidhogg are going to show the true history to the warriors of Elbaf and why they should only be feared by those who dare to cross them.

Sommers never disappoint! Each new chapter just shows how sick and unhinged he is; first complaining about giants surviving and telling them to give him his emotions back as if he's a fan who got duped... Then the next moment he's going through excitement of having the chance of killing children whom he deemed as being foolishly brave to protect their parents/siblings. The sooner he's gone for good the better, but I will say that I'll miss these moments as they help remind me that the Celestial Dragons for the most part can't be saved and are almost all rotten to the core.

With all that said, it's interesting on what caused Niddhoggr and Nika (assuming that this variant was also Joyboy) to have warred against one another. Especially if Elbaph is another nation with close ties to D... Honestly it just goes back to the big question... What even is D.? It's so surreal that we may be getting close to finally finding out about it.

All in all nice chapter; although Imu staring off at them does have me worried for Brook. Personally I just hope that Imu has Brook immobilized as some sick gift for Gunko since she wanted to keep Brook as a slave (before her memories started kicking in).

I just realized something, but how did Imu not realize that the fruit may have been in Elbaph? You'd think that for the true 'ruler' of the world who has command over a powerful intelligence network; Imu would be more... Never mind... I forgot that these guys aren't exactly the brightest.

Imu likely suspected the giants had the fruit, but never had confirmation.

She probably can't imagine anyone missing the opportunity to use a super powerful fruit.

Just goes to show how powerful everyone is where basically just Luffy, Loki, Zoro, and Sanji show up and they defeat nearly everybody and save the kids in like 2 chapters, lol.

Luffy didn't kill him, but Luffy also didn't undo his power - his power was undone the moment, almost off screen, Loki stomps him (the "splat" sound effect). Given that Loki has been able to kill immortals before, I'm hopeful Sommers is permanently gone.

while i agree Loki probably (hopefully) dealt finishing blow to Sommers, after Luffy explodes Sommers with the punch, the next panel is the thorns falling of the kids. Sommers still conscious at this point, until like you said, Loki splats him
