However for anyone who hasn't heard, there's been a huge scandal at MangaOne which actually got even worse today, and a lot of creators are abandoning the platform. Nanao has said he doesn't plan to, but depending on how things go, this could all potentially still mean some shakeups in future releases.

He's got a fairly gender-neutral pen name and seems to be very deliberately non-fanservice-y, which I think resulted in a lot of confusion, but I'm pretty sure he's a guy. Apparently his old blog had a post in which he referred to himself as "a very manly man among men of a man", or the like, and his author avatar image is pretty masculine coded:Isn't Nanao a she?
