I just want to point out that since this is his sister, the title for the chapter is intentionally misleading. "My boyish girlfriend's rival" - the title is from the POV of the male MC, but it introduces this girl as a "rival" and not, you know, his fucking sister, plus she's only a rival if MC thinks so because he could just not give her a chance.

Mangaka is out of ideas and baiting. I recommend you drop the manga, as I will be doing.

I support this plot development. She's been a rather shitty girlfriend. If the appearance of a rival will motivate her to do better, then that's a good thing.

If I were the dude, I would've given her (my sister) an affectionate hug in front of my girlfriend to drive home the point that hugging is normal and should not be met with abuse (even when the recipient is not your girlfriend).
