It became a bit more than stupid wholesome slightly ecchi love story of the two dorks.

And this manga just became manga-eiga on these pages with an astonishing art.

I support this plot development. She's been a rather shitty girlfriend. If the appearance of a rival will motivate her to do better, then that's a good thing.

If I were the dude, I would've given her (my sister) an affectionate hug in front of my girlfriend to drive home the point that hugging is normal and should not be met with abuse (even when the recipient is not your girlfriend).
