So he will stop jumping from Sanghyun to Yoil anythime, big bet he is taking. I understand his logic, but Sanghyun is not dead, there are people waiting for him, his grandma, the friend from the his ex school, Lee Ruha, they all will be affected by not being able to contact him
Yeah, he's not going anywhere. But, like, this is too much work and too much stress hopping back and forth and living dual lives and he just needs to commit to his job right now. He can still switch back in moments where he's away from work and really needs to. Just sounds like that's going to be a lot rarer now. No more perfume.

I love so much how this manhwa doesn't just have some slop gender-bend wish-fulfillment served to us, we actually have the mc struggling and being introspective with himself, it's really nice to see this kind of thing actually be well-written

It's an idol story first, gender bender second. Like the struggle between between who the idol industry wants you to be and your actual genuine self is a story that could be told without the gender bender aspect, but I think it's there to make that difference more glaring and the adaption more extreme. Kind of saw this with Iruha and how the company pressured her into really playing up the ice queen persona to the detriment of her personal life.

Been following this from the start and I feel this was rushed compared to the previous pace. Did the author get rushed by a publisher or I feel this series could end faster than I would like I can only hope this hasn't been cancelled. The last 2 chapters feel like the author went from 1st gear to 5th gear in a second with its pace. I feel that with Kim being put to the side so soon puts an end to dynamic that is rare as far too many genderswap series just go full female from the start. I actually liked the gradual feminization to fit in more rather than Kim being forced into a decision by Gonwon of all people.

Also both Kim and Gonwon felt out of character in the last 2 chapters, Gonwon in this chapter and kim in the previous one. Kim as Han Yoil is normally a lot smarter than they were in the previous chapter. I understand panicking from the pressure but they were just being stupid all she had to do was excuse herself from Gonwon using a period as an excuse and hide in the toilets until less people were around. Why they decided to beg Gonwon for help who knows its almost like they were an idiot for the sake of plot progression.

Then Gonwon the carefree idiot actually used a surprising amount of logic when explaining why he wouldn't blackmail Kim with the information that he is Han Yoil. Again out of character for a character who doesn't think twice about causing problems for everyone around him. As he would most likely get fired if he did and end his career. As management would fire him for breaking the Korean version of a NDA in the idol industry and achieve nothing because no one would believe him either. Funny how he also realizes what a scandal it was to go to the female idols lockers but didn't hesitate to do it anyway. Considering how relationship scandals can instantly end your career before it even starts and could as a knock on effect end the career of the male idols in the group proves what a selfish idiot he is.

So as a result of the last 2 chapters the plot progression has accelerated, the switch between the genders is gone for now, and the joint worst character in the series knows his secret. Also who knows what will happen with the progression with Lee Ruha from her arc so not a big fan of the male side being benched for now. No wonder according to the comments from last weeks chapter the author got the most downvotes completely understandable.
It was obvious that Gonwon from long ago had been set up as a potential final ship for Kim if they stay as Han Yoil but it was handled in such a bad way. As Gonwon's feeling of admiration towards Kim will turn into desire for Han Yoil as she clearly will accelerate her feminine behaviour due to not returning to Kim for so long which will be a psychological mind field for poor Kim. As for Han's feelings towards Gonwon will probably lead to more chapters in which they will confide in Gonwon and the fact he didn't blackmail her will turn into more trust which will lead to affection. Which is sloppy, the attraction towards Gonwon from Han should come from an effort from Gonwon to be inspired by Kim's efforts and to grow himself but he isn't. If they go that route anyway it just feels like every other character is growing and progressing in the series apart from Gonwon.

Before I finish my comment just wanted to say a big thanks to Kontoru for the translation I hope the fan backlash will discourage the author from giving Gonwon more chapter time as I think he is the least interesting male character in the Manhwa. The Manhwa is well grounded and despite the supernatural element of the gender swap has tackled the psychology of changing gender and the brutality of the idol business very well. Gonwon is not just a bad comic relief character so far he threatens to ruin the setting itself with a series illogical decisions turning in his favor and his involvement is making the Manhwa worse.

Reminds me AKB49.
It's idol story first gender bender second. (Not genderswap but cross dress)
And it was peak.

I find the best stories steeped in their genre are those that wield their blade with allegory. Speaking in general, once a plot even hints at using that, you can immediately experience a much tighter narrative. It's not a very common treat, though.

I feel for Sanghyun...pretty much everyone is telling him to abandon his current self since he has no value over Han Yoil. Lee Ruha better get over here soon.

Edit: I feel slightly bad for Gongwon since now everybody has given him the stereotype of playboy. It sort of is his fault though for being so frivolous, but at least now he's being serious about his path.

Also, is it just me or are Han Yoil's boobs bigger now? lol.
No there always been big but the clothes she use to wear kinda made them seem a little smaller.

I feel a confrontation from lee ruha to yoil about sanghyun's whereabouts coming..

this a good chapter. I can't wait to see what's gonna happen from now on. Some of sanghyun's old friends and family will probably put out missing posters or call the police or something about him missing.
On the other hand, if yoil will stay as yoil indefinitely from now that means we get to see more of her in cute and feminine clothes!! That's one thing I can look forward to!

There's probably going to be a story arc regarding that fairly soon, can't wait to see who it will be that will question Male!MC's disappearance first though. The ones that are in the running are probably:
1. So-Ae (+ that childhood friend that reconnected a few chaps ago)
2. Iruha (Iruha-bros stay calm, patriots in control. Stand back and stand by)
3. MC's family (Grandma, Brother)

Since they are really the only ones that is introduced in the manwha that even knows of Male!MC's existence (besides those who already know). Could be a combination or multiple at the same time tho, teaming up to find out more about the MC's lack of whereabouts.

I think it's the author's recent health issues that are causing problems, it's clear that he had to blitz through making these with the time available. This is self published to my knowledge so I don't think that's an issue, and he had been gearing up for this many years before it started releasing so I seriously doubt he's making any drastic changes to his plans for the story. A hiatus is far more likely than a cancellation.

Thanks for letting me know I admit I was a little harsh in my comments if the author has to put their health first that is what matters most. We have lost far too many talented mangakas/artists and authors due to them pushing themselves too much. While I wish this was handled better I would hate for this to never finish at all. I am going to miss this series once it ends been one of my favorite genderswap and idol series I have seen in years.

Gonwon has always been one of the worst elements of the story for me as he has managed to slip into every arc and be at places he had no reason for being in. I know from a friend who had a junior position at a South korean idol agency that Gonwon's behaviour would have gotten him fired as a brand risk so I find it jarring to see him get away with so much unprofessional behaviour in a mostly realistic and grounded story like this. All my thoughts and frustrations with Gonwon as a character is a build up throughout the story not just the last 2 chapters. At least the other character I don't like as Kontoru calls them 'B**** A' shows the ugly side of the idol industry that does exist while Gonwon just makes mistake after mistake and doesn't get reprimanded at all and no character growth either.

Hopefully it will now push Gonwon to the side to focus on how the medicine will impact Kim as Han psychologically and building female friendships now they are remaining as Han Yoil. As well as tackling the childhood friend, brother, grandma and Lee Ruha missing Kim now he has disappeared for now.

I wish the best for the author's health and hope they have a full recovery.
