Yes yes, we get it, Chita is developmentally arrested, doesn't want to grow up, doesn't want to be left behind, is selfish and impulsive, and doesn't really care how it affects those around her, acting like a crab in a bucket. We've gotten it for the past hundred chapters or so. Just get on with it! Make something happen with her!

Well it took 210 chapters, but I guess the Third Pair is being official'd now.

Curious to see whether Chita will "magically figure out love and fall into it with Tokio", or if she'll find some iteration that is "true to Chita" and her...particular way of seeing things.

I hope it's the latter. Better to have a nonconformist relationship between them that can still work for Chita & Tokio both, than rewrite her entirely for the sake of shoving her into the same box of "this is what Love is" that happens all over romcom manga titles in general.
Chita's already a unique and quirky character, for better or worse. Let her stay her goofy-ass self and figure this part of her life and identity out, and if Tokio can be happy as well, then all the better.

Hopefully it also results in her realizing the changes in her two friends as well, so that she can better accept that they're moving forward, and that "change" isn't always a bad thing.

I'm with you and IRLthicc. I don't want Tokio to "fix" Chita. It'd be out of character for both of them to suddenly conform to a typical relationship like the other two couples. If they need to commit to being in some sort of relationship, this being a romance manga and all, at least let it stay ace.

People talking about Chita being a special flavour of sexuality/romance (or lack there of) when people here are bored to death of her character and give absolutely no fucks if she wants to have sex or if she can even feel anything.

Honestly, since the start this character was a waste and a VERY bad comic relief. It doesn't matter what the author tries, noone's going to suddenly like her.

I think it’d be neat if they commit to Chita being aro, but I won’t hold my breath. Generally, I just wish this side plot was more interesting, or interspersed with other plots I suppose
I will say that doing it all in one block like this is probably for the best.

This isn't something that could be easily or justifiably resolved in 2-3 chapters' worth of installments, and if the author was constantly jumping back to Chita & Tokio every couple chapters of the other two pairs, the readers who already get mad about Chita would be even more upset at the interruptions, and there would be the issue of remembering what exactly was happening in this arc because of it being spaced out.

Better to do it all at once, get Chita & Tokio's story resolved, then return to one of the others (probably Anjou & Seta, given where we left off with them).

Poor Toyoda getting cut on the first page. Honestly, considering the whole relationship they have, it kinda baffles me how neither tried to talk to Toyoda about it. It's not like the siblings are on bad terms. Maybe Chita is scared/embarrassed to talk about love with her friend who got a boyfriend? But I guess everyone knows that Tokio is into Chita, Toyoda can't be that oblivious, can she?
Did Tokio ever try to talk to Inuyama after he started dating Toyoda?
