Don't you know it's because of the sheer amount of quality, improvement and uniqueness they bring to the story. How can I read a manga/watch an anime if there aren't a lot of woman flocking around a mediocre looking protagonist? HOW?!?!

Though funny that it isn't a real harem in most of the cases and more like a love dodecahedral. Everyone who did Graph Theory will have a field day, so perhaps it's for those kind of people too.

How can you feel bored when you read such inspiring titles like "I Rely on My Harem to Conquer the World" or "A Harem in the Fantasy World Dungeon".
Can't you feel how those two are such masterworks by the title alone (especially when they end the first chapter with one of the girlies saying "Just who are you" chefs kiss).

I wouldn't have a problem if the MC actually picked someone to date and saw where it went. But, no, it's all about being dense and not choosing an option until the last chapter.

The worst part is that everyone knows who the MC will end up with, so the waiting it's just torture.
