Happy birthday, get well soon buddy!

Not surprised Aoba can't see a path forward. Orima is on The World Level and Aoba simply isn't at that stage yet. I fully expect a loss against Orima before Orima heads for the world. This will make Kenshin distraught cause he didn't get the fight and motivate Aoba to elevate his game further.

Maybe Kenshin/Aoba fight on the world level instead? As Kenshin likely chases Orima down since Orima is basically HIS Kenshin.

I thought this series looked cool and wanted to check out the last chapter...

Why tf do they talk about relaxing and tensing like it's some masterful technique? That's one of the first thing you're taught in striking and get drilled into you.

This is just a very limited guess but here is my crack head theory

The author is very aware that his main target audience will be manga casuals who have very differing levels of knowledge about combat sports and sports in general. So to not confuse or overwhelm his core audience he consistently makes sure to focus-on/highlight/exaggerate more fundamental and easier to understand concepts.

Ones that’ll usually be easier for the average manga fan dipping their toes into sports or martial arts in general. Cuz focusing on appealing to MAINLY or ONLY experienced practitioners may feel like a risk. Again, this is just the guess of a black American with limited knowledge on how Japanese authors try to net the most fans

Agreed; I know it wouldn’t add anything to the plot or the rivalry of Kenshin and Aoba but GOD I hope we get a backstory on the Champ. I wanna understand him even more after this fight

Makes me wonder if he’ll even accept the fight now but then again at the same time. I genuinely can’t wait to see how he further copes with and responds to the situation. Cuz the OG plan was never to become a world champion. It was to choke the life outta Kenshin

If the author goes through with it and doesn’t do an open ending. I want him to do it like THAT! Watching them fight for a wolrd title would be the perfect when to end the series
