They didn't actually show too much of Bai Ming's past, but at least now we're finally back to Balande, and the situation there really looks bad. (Btw, am I the only one that keeps thinking about Danganronpa whenever I see someone talking about despair and hope?)
Tbh i kinda half read the last arc.
We are back to the original world but again i barely remember what happened in the end.

Basically, Bai Ji got sent to that world, by evil Ke'er, where there were other "devourers"/people with divine powers, to absorb it and get to lvl 100 so she could go back home stronger. She met Bai Ming's spirit that had lost her memory and decided to take care of her seeing how she was as innocent as a child, and named her Lilina. Then Bai Ji eventually got to the castle and had to go through trials so she could remember herself because the divine power would make her forget who she was and her objective. When she reached the last floor of the castle she had to fight Bai Ming/Lilina who now had her memories. During the fight, Bai Ji got to lvl 100 and was told that she was now allowed to leave. And because this place was being held together by Bai Ming's soul fragment, Bai Ming had to off herself for Bai Ji to leave. Bai Ji didn't want Bai Ming/Lilina to disappear so she embraced Bai Ming's fragment turning Bai Ming/Lilina into her daughter. Now she's probably back to Balande with divine powers at lvl 100 to fight w/e is happening there.

And that's basically how the arc went.

If it wasn't from the help of some commenters - some coming from the original WN, I wouldn't been able to guess what this whole arc was about or what the point was.
The whole concept behind is neat, but the execution in this manhua adaptation was kinda all over the place. Especially the development of MC's character and her decent into madness. Yes, it was explained many times that anyone who levels up in this world eventually forget themselves, but the progression for Bai Ji wasn't illustrated very well. I mean, in one chapter we got Mama Bai Ji and then suddenly she goes full genocide mode in the next one.
Half of the time I didn't know what was happening, and just went with the flow for the spectacle.

Honestly true indeed, I wasn’t actually interested much in this story back in 2022 when I first discover & read it beside
The Art and Concept startup but after reading the Novel I learn alot more about the lore and story behind this series coming to enjoy it and wanting to see it show each future scene in Manhua form

I also wasn't that much into the story back when I started reading it, but I did see a lot of good concepts in it. I remember dropping it for a while back in 2021 when I first read it once I got caught up with the translations, and only picked up again somewhere around 2023, and only then was when I got more interested in the series, and I also started reading the RAWs when they came out, sometimes using sites with machine translation and sometimes using google translate.
(I also had to re-read the whole thing again to remember what happened in the story, but I think I only did that at the end of 2024 and 2025 after I got confused by some things.)
But if I have to be honest, the main reason why I started reading this was because I just love the "fallen" hero/knight still doing good things, kind of trope, and I also like vampires (it's why Malzeno and Primordial Malzeno from Monster Hunter Rise is my favorite monster.) But another reason was because Bai Ji looks like my OC, she isn't a loli tho.

This manhua actually made me addicted to Vampire genre with female mc more lol
Even though we started with Ji Bai Male knight majority of the time over Bai Ji so I like to read female mc manga/manwha/manhua more often lately beside other genre stuff.
P.S There are only 2 chinese manhua where I spend time reading the novel to learn more in detail plus future events for the Manhua that being Blood Princess & The Knight and The Demon King who lost his job so basically I know how it ends for that manhua too as well

Male to female manga/Manhwa are not that often but this one interest me. Started as Ji Bai who was a male knight that was captured by the vampires and was forced to be embraced to the Vampire Queen Lilias into a female vampire where she name him/her Bai Ji. The protagonist keep switching on/off male human/female vampire because Ji Bai really hate being a vampire and admire his human self. When he Acquire Solanya powers, the new personality started to take over Bai Ji and decided to prevent Ji Bai from returning until that red colour sword who hates vampire turn her back to male human. But it’s a sad thing that Ji Yue uses the holy divine blood on Ji Bai killing him Instantly along with his personality and soul, resulting in Bai Ji takeover once again until she becomes Bai Jin. When Bai Jin was fatally stabbed by Demonic Keer in the heart which was the key to Balande. So there’s no more male/female human Ji Bai and Bai Jin, now the female vampire Bai Ji is the protagonist for the rest of the series. It’s up to her to save Balande now

Yep I actually forgot, This has a tragedy tag a few times before consider we were originally gonna even get a LinXJiBai Romance but that got pushed aside cause of Ji Bai turning into Bai Ji made them related siblings so it would be incest not to mention he is no longer male plus the many deaths of beloved characters over each arc that we have seen such as Ji Bai’s Student to his own student or even Ji Yue descend to Empress of Gulan and Bai Ji not being able to help due to having vampire blood & Yana interfering during important moment before gaining Solyanda memories. Oh and also Chestnut Death who we learn her real name is Lizi by the hands of elf queen/twilight star god for the elves, her death won’t be forgotten since it helped send message to Lilias to be aware of it

Yeah Ji Bali’s death wasn’t enough and now they kill off Chestnut so no more Moon Knight Corps or gaming from her. So we lost 2 characters in the series. Even sad that the flashback is the last time that chestnut and Lilias see each other alive. Rip Ji Bai, Bai Jin and Chestnut.

Chestnut actually get revive and comes back at the end, the whole family Lilias, Bai Ji, Liliana, Lin, Chestnut, and Yana. despite the tragedy we actually got a happy ending
