I think it's on purpose. Vysis seems like the type to just blow up people's egos for her own amusement. Then when two "strongest" meet. They fight, and she laughs.

And there's no way in hell the Touka's in the same school grade as the others. He acts like he's a a veteran 60 year old who got reincarnated into the body that is now Touka.
