What the fuck do you mean she's respected for her political prowess? What kind of fucking political prowess did she show at all, outside of being a retard who just walked in completely defenseless against a group armed to the teeth? Literally handed herself on a silver platter, and her only recourse after being captured was "PLEASE, IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND I'LL FORGIVE YOU" lmfao this is some cringe ass writing for this mangaka. Furthermore, what kind of dumb fucking plan was this? If that wavy haired dude just decided to pull out a knife and immediately end her life, what were they going to do? Mangaka is trying to portray this as some massive 5Head move, but there were so many things that could have gone wrong that it's a miracle it even did go right at all. And how disorganized are these idiotic humans that one single dude (the MC) was able to fool the entire regiment with his easily discernable lies?
the one time we're shown a "goddess-following" human who (in a meta sense) might pose a real threat to Touka—that being John Doe—he is
also disparaged by all the other humans who are ostensibly their allies.
every time Touka comes up against an actual human enemy that he has to dispatch, we see them gloat and grandstand and pontificate before he just goes "lol nah" and ends them. It's a recurring theme of the series that most humans are pompous shitbags because the goddess who leads them is a pompous shitbag. So Wavy Hair was
absolutely going to gloat about his supposed superiority to nonhumans and rub it in her face, because he like all his compatriots are cruel, demeaning assholes who would just as soon torture and rape their enemies as slaughter them.
And yes, Lise has political prowess, just specifically outside of wartime. The other generals recognize this, and it's why she had the amount of sway within the nonhuman kingdom to force her plan through. She's naive and idealistic because she personally didn't have the sort of experience against humans that some of the others did, and she is headstrong and unwilling to listen to a human telling her that other humans weren't trustworthy.
Her foibles here were countered by the fact that Touka and Geo had a plan and worked around using Lise's plan as a distraction to get the drop on the human army and massacre them in a surprise rout. That's just the author making the MC super smart and super clever, and if it's an indictment on anything, it's on the 'glazing' of the MC as being a badass who can solve even outrageous problems like this—as well as the seemingly near-universal idiocy of the Goddess-lead human faction and their assumptions that they're the smartest people in the room.
This whole story isn't the best writing, but I'd argue this chapter is at least consistent with the story being told, and isn't as egregious as you're alleging here.
