yikes.. the spider one is SO naive. "Everyone can be talked to" No. godess is a liar and will gladly pluck your legs while mocking you.
She ought to know HOW evil Godess already is. she even appointed a team of serialkillers to vipe out villages just for shit and giggles.
So true.

"Everything can be resolved through discussion!" she shouts immediately after saying she doesn't trust Touka so nothing he says will change her mind
Just wait until the goddess's minions beat the shit out of her. That will change her mind.

she is not a traitor... she is very wellmeaning. so she is just damn naive.. too bad the next chapters might be brutal to her.
I do not wish that fate on anyone.. so i feel sorry for her already.
Tbh it's not unreasonable for her to be so idealistic given how she's lived until now.

Like, yeah, the country was founded generations ago to flee the goddess, but everything she's seen in her life has been idealistic isekai monstergirl democracy. She legitimately can't imagine naked evil like the goddess.
And "trust me bro, the goddess you feared enough to go into hiding is coming for you, she already exterminated a bunch of leopard people" from a mysterious masked person who very clearly hates the goddess is a little sketchy.

When you've solved all your conflicts with words and never violence (because you live in idealistic isekai monstergirl democracy), it's hard to leap to a first strike immediately, especially if there's no actual proof beyond the word of some weirdo in a fly mask.

We as the readers know she's completely wrong because we've already seen how the goddess and her followers are still 100% vile, but she's operating on ancient myth and the word of a stranger.

So, that's just her fetish now, he has to be asleep?

Around elves, watch yourselves.

Did the Spider-Girl forget the part where are all the Demi humans had to hide at the end of the world to not be wiped out by the goddess?
Yeah well they're in shortage of food, they will need the outside world sooner or later.
And she has a point, starting negotations with a war while you're in need is not a good sign.

Gonna make a guess. Spider lady is gonna try and negotiate with the humans and almost get raped (because the author clearly can't think of anything other than sexual assault as a way to portray an antagonist). Then, MC is going to save her by murdering everyone, and her personality is gonna do a 180 flip and she's going to fall in love because of how good he is at all the murder.

...Each chapter i think is going to be the breaking point for me, but then the sunk cost fallacy kicks in alongside a morbid intrest in seeing the goddes get her face caved in. And in seeing if the author can figure out a THIRD plot device besides rape and murder.
Civit Gartland : bad guy, not a rapist not a murderer.

I kinda want her to try her hand at negotiations just for them to fail.

yup the spider girl is just dumb (-_-)
Not dumb just naïve, lots of young people think the best about others until they are proven wrong, in this case with disastrous consequences. Us old folks have been around the block several times and know that people are inherently selfish and self-serving. If she had her way and disarmed her country they would be taken over just for seeming weak

the spider girl has a good point but only for Mira kingdom bc mira kingdom will become an ally for Mc in future war against thotdess ... And the spider girl will be appointed as the foreign minister who will establish friendship between the monster country and the Mira Kingdom after the invasion of the 7th platoon

Is my English good?

No i am just predicting what will happen to that kind of people. i think and i DO hope that she won't be killed but it is likely she will be killed OR getting a fate worse than death. like her soul being entrapped inside a monster.

Im glad someone said this, they're literally the last remain of demihuman civilization and shes even saying they should disarm?

Tbh the author knows no subtlety at all and has always been heavy handed on characterization, so it's no surprise the spider comes off as the dumbest mf
Would you trust a guy you don't know who hides his identity behind a mask as if he had something to hide when he's telling you that what you're thinking is wrong when you're convinced it's right ?
Would you be dumb to not trust the weird guy ? XD

It's just a generational thing- she never grew up exposed to the actions of the Goddess (or at least mentally views herself as distant to the actions on other demihumans). It's not something that "really" happened- it's something that happened to "those geezers a long time ago" or "those other people that my coworkers know".

Example would be something like US/Russian citizens supporting frequent military action since the populace at large isn't affected by it. US at best got a real taste of it in Vietnam ~60 years ago (But really the only US soil attack was WW2 and that wasn't in the continental states).
Russians as a whole supported the invasion of Ukraine and only somewhat recently has public opinion begun to turn around after drone attacks and a very large amount of their male population not coming back intact.

It's quite desgusting to me that she is wholeheartly ready to put in danger the citizens she has the duty to protect (because fully dismantle their military forces before another military forces coming ring to your door before letting them enter is just that ) to instead protect her idealistic worldview that she doesn't fully believe herself (she said to believe in the goodness of human, doesn't seems to believe in the goodness of MC at all.)

She just seems so adverse to military conflict that she can never admit that Their is time where it is justified.

The problem with this is that Belzegia isn't just a "suspicious masked man with opinions that directly contradict observed reality". He's an outsider that's been allowed in--vetted--by their head of state Zect, with that vetting done via Erika's name--the same Erika who is probably one of the biggest benefactors (if not the biggest one) of their entire civilization. Belzegia didn't just show up without credentials.

It's more what everyone's been saying about Onik--that she is perilously naïve, especially when someone in her position--one who either employs diplomacy through representatives or engages in it directly as one herself--should know not only the history and state of her own country, but also anything she can of the history and disposition of her neighbors. The operative phrase there was "anything she can": her country might have held a strict isolationist policy, but at least her own country's history could tell her something about the disposition of her neighbors; Shadowblade, if I recall correctly, knew of the Speed clan that lived outside--so his information must have come from somewhere.

Given her high position, she's too naïve--and too enthusiastic in her pacifistic response to a warning of an impending invasion--for me not to suspect her treachery, which was what came to mind quickly as I saw her impugning Belzegia's word with open, totally closed-minded hostility.

I cant help but draw modern parallels when I read something like this. Gross.

Be nice if spider-gwen would see the outside of her room before making judgements on behalf of a nation.... that whole "experience" thing...

But when you look at the stakes, and how she is going about trying to discredit this guy, along with he obvious praise of Vyssis, I would think that she is absolutely working for some other side in some way.

The Mad King, perhaps?

Hell, Vyssis could have had this Spider-gwen kidnap Nyantan Kittycat and that's just been her act for decades; we don't know how these spiders age, but we know that the holy beast girl is actually much older from her speech when she first met them, IIRC.

There could be layers of deception, acting the part of a successful idealist for decades....
or she could be a dipshit.

We don't really know.

The Speed Clan refused to join their brothers from the Shadowblade clan when they exiled in the Country at the end of the world. Their leader was unaware of their destruction before Touka's arrival.

The country faces problems Erika is unaware of : foods shortage. They need to open up to the outside world.

Btw, having a Prime Minister naive of her ability to negociate is not something unheard of. We're biased with this story because we know what is happening and she doesn't, but how many real life Prime Ministers, Kings, President did we have in our long history ? It's naivety who caused the Second World War 2.

lol Echoes of suicidally xenophilic pseudo-altruism, perhaps?

The Speed Clan refused to join their brothers from the Shadowblade clan when they exiled in the Country at the end of the world. Their leader was unaware of their destruction before Touka's arrival.

Even if so, that still doesn't change the fact that their country is not hermetically sealed off in permanence from the outside world: Belzegia and his companions got in and--while this is in the realm of speculation--spies of their nation can surely leave, consequently.

The country faces problems Erika is unaware of : foods shortage. They need to open up to the outside world.

Eating will be among their last concerns if they open up to the same world that chased them ruthlessly into that corner of it. That said, that does not change Erika's standing with them as a benefactor, as the story explains; her recommendation is at least some proof that Belzegia's word isn't just hot air--to say nothing of the threat she's implying Belzegia is instead of what he's trying to warn them about.

Btw, having a Prime Minister naive of her ability to negociate is not something unheard of. We're biased with this story because we know what is happening and she doesn't, but how many real life Prime Ministers, Kings, President did we have in our long history ? It's naivety who caused the Second World War 2.

You're right, dramatic irony does exist here--we know what's happening and she doesn't. She should nevertheless know why her people are in that situation in the first place--especially when there are people, like Zect himself, who were there to witness the cause. The characteristics of real-world heads of state, whatever their shortcomings, has no bearing on that.

Onik has no legs to stand on here--she has no business being so naïve, in her position. What she has within is either a mix of that perilous naïveté I spoke of and a fat helping of arrogance mixed in or a treacherous mind.
