I made an account just to write this-- thank you so, so much for translating this series! I've been wanting to read it for a very long time, and it's been a highlight of the past month or so coming back to this page to read each chapter. I can't compare it to the original since I don't know JP, but I think your translation really made the naturalistic dialogue shine. :D

Thank you, that means a lot!! 😭 I keep as close to the original dialogue as possible, as I think a mangaka's writing style is very, very important. And Kimura-sensei has pretty straightforward and plain dialogue overall, though she can also be quite lyrical and poetic ❤
Overall, I just wanted this work out there. Kimura overall was extremely neglected until I started putting out my translations of her, and I'm glad she's starting to finally get her proper dues.

As an aside, I had forgot to mention this in my notes, but Kimura did a one-shot titled 三年目のカイン (Sannenme no Cain/Cain on the Third Year) for the magazine Bonita Eve in November 1985. I have had no luck in tracking down the issue in question, but this one-shot may potentially be a Cain sequel (though I won't know for certain until I see photos/the content of it).

Ahead of its time, yet distinctly touched with signs of its time. I need to think longer on how this feels, except, real
