  • I'll currently in another busy period, but it should be over relatively soon. I really can't wait to put out some great work in December. I think people will be very, very, very happy. That's all I'll say.
I don't know if any of you classic shojo folks have noticed, but a brand new Miuchi Suzue bunko dropped late last month - and this one even has a digital edition for all retailers! It has 4 works contained in it, of which none have been done yet.
Stumbled upon a Kimura fansite while looking into some things - the site makes note of one one-shot from Season in the Pocket getting reprinted, in here. Apparently some of her one-shots were reran in select magazines in the 2000's too... Ah, if only I could do those uncollected ones 😥
Another older mangaka who has stuff available to read online is Kaoru Kaze, a lesser known shojo mangaka. Idk if they can be ripped at their original resolutions, but several of her original one-shots are available to read (including magazine-only stuff).
For those who've been liking my Kimura releases, two of her works have been re-released in a magazine called 15 Stories of Love, which seems to be one that reprints older shojo/josei as best-of compilations. This issue has a re-run of Mother's Daughters, while this one has a re-run of a one-shot that has never been collected called Footsteps in the Spring. I'd be up for scanlating the latter if I was ever provided the raw from here!!

As of this time the latter issue is sold out from said source link. I can't help but wonder if someone read this and bought it 😂
I am still pretty surprised by the sheer reaction to Keiko Oka's The Mail Panda even now - was she one many were curious about? Anyway, as I mentioned in a comment, a good amount of her works from various years are available on her fansite here. Keep in mind many of them are very low resolution, so there's unfortunately only a handful you can really scanlate. Still, what there is on there that's available for people to do IS very good quality. I plan to do a few more of hers, and I'd love to see others do some!
I imagine some of you may find this useful, but there is a list that puts together all editions of Mizuno's work, including the works recorded/collected within each (barring some of the most recent of recent editions, like Fire's fukkokuban). Extremely helpful for those scanlating (also good to have on sites like MU), so I wanted to share :)
I wish I could post photos directly from my computer (as opposed to links). I've got a lot of nice photos, and I think it would be cool to have some on my profile. I'm surprised it's not a feature here?
