Yes and no. Some relief is OK, especially so soon after a natural disaster like a monster swarm. But continued reliance on his support is just setting them up for a greater fall when he eventually cant.

I usually prefer joined part-chapters over parts, but I don't mind with this manga, because it is reeeeeealy random about part content/length...

Chapter 38.1 was 18 pages.
Chapter 38.2 was 33 pages.
Chapter 39.1 was 24 pages.
This Chapter 39.2 was 9 (!!!) pages, including a near blank one...

The parts don't end arbitrary, and most of those parts feel like they would deserve to be called full chapters...
