More precisely, she's doing the classic "lesbian sheep" problem of spending a bunch of time whining to herself that the person she likes won't confess, while the thought of being the one to confess doesn't even enter her head. This lack of self-awareness in this specific type of situation can only be a "woman moment" because lesbians can only be women.

We can call the phrasing insensitive but that's not the same as being wrong.

That last bubble was supposed to be "You're the worst" instead of "disgusting" in the raws. It would have hurt less too

I don't get how that would hurt less? At least "disgusting" has some ambiguity as to what it could be referring to. If you call someone "the worst", you're saying they're the worst, which by definition means there's nothing worse!

Thank you, and you're right that that is the literal translation of "最低". After some consideration, I've decided that "disgusting" is a fitting translation with reference to additional context from the novel
Edit: After thinking about it even more, I've changed it to "You're awful"

I love author notes with their thoughts. Think when an author has notes that's just a couple lines at the end with some "thanks for reading" it's not nearly as interesting as when they have a page full of a giant block of text explaining their thoughts on what they wrote.

The web novel has been translated by the group(person) going by the name "Flenser Translations", and they've also several other yuri novels including the recently gaining popularity "Don't you feel ashamed to be overpowered by a maid?" which is also currently being adapted into a manga, though I'm unsure about the scanlation status of that one.

Just found this series and it's very interesting. Really appreciate a series with unconventional and confronting dynamics. I'm beyond tired of authors afraid of ruffling some feathers with their characters and there's a lot of room for growth and unique interactions between these two. I'll likely read some of the novel too since it's so accessible, but thanks for the work. Can't wait for more.
