I think people are tending to forget that she wasn't just a nepo hire, when she came in and took the reigns, she got rid of the social culture and was extremely physically and mentally abusive. They had every right to shit on her, if she hadn't made the effort to change, that place and their livelihoods would have disappeared.

Now that she's changing for the better and restoring the culture that made the workplace great, they're starting to come around. That's valid.
