Yes way! These are exactly the boundaries that isekai stories need to push! I don't care if 1 gold coin equals 1000 yen equals 60 norwegian krone, or if adventurer ranks go from F to platinum/adamantine/mithril/whatever, it's so forgettable that even the writers are just going to ignore it anyway!

Nah, I like the soy sauce stuff. Soy sauce tastes good, but the taste is kinda unique, and from what I remember so is the process of making it, so it’s a good ingredient that’d be hard to invent by accident. That makes it a new, novel thing for non-isekaid characters to be surprised by.
