This seemed like it might be interesting but holy balls I just read the general series discussion thread and it went down a whole road of weirdos calling this a cuck story and saying their rooting for the scumbag ex to beat her more and other stuff and even though I know I don't have to engage with the comment section I still can't help but feel like I want to stay far, far, far away from anything that attracts thoroughly disgusting set of commentors like that, whether it's just edgy dorks trying to be edgy or (worse) gross tate-bro sounding losers that honestly think that way.
I got curious and ended up reading the 34 chapters available elsewhere, but those are just weird reactions.

yup. im so mad because it was genuinly one of the best mangas ive ever read at first
What made it the best for you?

For me, it was average from the start so I'm confused seeing the comments that it lost the plot after chapter 20. It's stayed on course as a slow burn romance where the guy and girl are slowly healing each other. (Girl's issues have been on full display from the start, but guy also has issues of his own in terms of how he's a loner and his prior failed relationship, for unknown reasons right now, with a girl.)

I don't know if you've gone past chapter 22, but there's no drama filled love triangle. None of them are even pursuing a relationship, they're all just in some ambiguous zone.

Please spoil it for me, I'm interested in what happens
before chapter 20:
its a really psychological manga that goes deep into trauma and abuse, where the mc helps the fmc get back on her feet after an abusive relationship and nurtures her back to health, with hints of a relationship forming between them. its overall a pretty nice and peaceful story.
after chapter 20:
the fmcs best friend gets added to the picture, and the mc randomly falls in love with her for some reason, but the fmc still loves the mc. when i saw that i read the comments on some later chapters and it turns into a full triangle, so i immediatly dropped it.

That’s not what happens at all.
The best friend is his ex. He doesn’t randomly fall in love with her. It was hinted early that had history, then around chapter 20 it was revealed. The FMC tried to set them but he wasn’t really interested about it. Even her best friend can see there is something between them and isn’t really pushing for anythin.

99% of all mangakas always fumble their premises
I sometimes wonder if it's a "oh shit this was renewed for more than 20 chapters / 2 volumes? uhhhhh what now". I mean I sort of get it, it's your living, so why would you plan for your work to end, but yeah some manga just fall off the rails

i found this manga at start very good. like in beginning, mc didnt take matter into his own hands and called police (for the first time in my reading career). but after 10 chapters or so a new female got introduced and thats when my interest poofed out. everything went downhill from there i suppose. for me atleast.

People in this thread are like
->MC had an ex? Disgusting love triangle YUCKY
... When the ex and the mc are no longer together (hint in the EX part) and she is rooting for the main couple? Yeah sure they still have feelings for each other, you don't truly stop loving people if you truly loved them, but it's not like anything over the top happened.

I only stopped reading this because the scummy group keeps paywalling every fucking chapter and even if you pay their monthly subscription you can only unlock the latest chapters for 48 hours, and only when it's a single chapter, if they do mass releases you have to pay for them and they hold 4-5 chapters for months, do a mass release and force you to either pay it or drop it.

If you are going to start translating it good luck it's going to take ages to catch up, overall the story is nice and most of the drama comes at the beginning, there shouldn't be much dark stuff after the exboyfriend leaves the plot so for those without a heavy stomach for things like this it shouldn't be a total deal breaker. The MC is kind of boring ngl his hobby is... cleaning... But he ain't braindead so that's nice.
