If the internet made someone delusional in real life an intellectual, it would be akin to inventing a cure for cancer.
I mean, it could be someone who can express themselves much more clearly via text rather than verbal speech, though that's a different matter.

I personally am more on the "Crass online, reclusive offline" side. It's mixed with different language behaviours too
