You guys aren't going to believe this, but the reason I decided to translate this series is honestly pretty ridiculous. I was just casually browsing for some good manga to read when I suddenly came across this one. The cover, the story, and especially the main character Irmhild, she was absolutely stunning, so I just decided to translate it right there and then. A very impulsive decision, luz, ha ha ha

P/S: Enjoy your chapter.

Whew  yanno I've read a lot of works that started with a prince very publicly condemning the MC in front of everyone, but this might be the first one where the MC doesn't seem to have any real connection to said prince at all or any clue why she is involved

I've seen a web novel a little like this, except it was a girl from an impoverished noble house in the middle of working her part-time job in a restaurant when a complete stranger appeared and declared, "I'm breaking off our engagement!"

I don't know why you arrest me, but it wasn't me.

I understand the sentiment, the drawing/artstyle looked to draw you in to read it, regardless how bad is the story starting.

I remember I started reading the webnovel for this one a while back, but I had to drop it because it was pretty confusing, not helped by the MTL...

IIRC Irmhild gets out of this accusation by saying that she's been legally a missing person for the past several years and thus couldn't have committed whatever crime the prince is accusing her of which... if she was considered a missing person, then, how does the prince even know who she is? She's just been casually attending the academy? As a missing person? Under her real name?

I decided to chalk it up to translation weirdness, hopefully the manga does a better job at explaining things.

Oh man the heck is that? I don't really get what that part above is trying to say either. Okay, don't worry, I'll carefully translate every section to make it as easy to understand as possible in this manga. Starting from chapter 2, it's already explaining the actual plot.

I love that. Thanks for translating. I think Imma love this manga. Always a good read, these accusation stories. Very interested in what or who "that thing" is.

Always A Catch starts out with the FL having her engagement broken by someone she had never met before, and it turns out she got mistaken for her cousin. But you're right, it's pretty rare (and a bit refreshing because of that).
