I love this manga, but there is a plot hole that has been on the back of my mind. In that first world he went back to, time did not restart but in this second world and instead it has been 10 years since he left. In this second world it went back to before he met the hero, hopefully he can explain why it did that and how he knew it would do that.

If I recall correctly, he used a skill he had received that allows him to do over all the worlds - at the cost of him being able to go home until he finishes all the worlds again. So All the worlds had their time reversed, not just that one.

After Tia died in the bad future timeline, he used his latest gift to transfer his powers and memories to his past self back when he had just started the 100 worlds quest. It's a full redo of all worlds.

It is part of his exiled skill. He originally was just able to visit the previous worlds he helped after a set time period. Only after he went back to the "white room" after his return to Tia's world that he wished for a way to make things better. Then the room/god/whatever being in charge gave him the ability to effectively do New Game+ for each door/world. Every single door is reset and they start at the beginning of their journey instead of continuing from when he left or a set amount of time.

Oh... it is true, Speaks called them humans from the start... at that point it was so subtle I entirely forgot, considering things, that is actually a big character development.

He didn't say much... but it seems Brute has reasons that aren't about greed, it seems he doesn't agree with his home culture, especially in how they are choosing a hero.

Considering Speaks is his aide, and she seems not to strongly adhere to the animosity between animalians and humans, there is more depth in his reasoning.

Because of Ed's cheat abilities, you kinda forget... Tia is strong as fuck.

People don't react when Tia uses her magic, but we haven't seen animalians use overt magic... I call it overt because their adventurer ensignias clearly have some magical properties, and there is that place they used for training; the focus was on the voidling, but the whole place needs to have some other things going on to even exist.

So I am curious if there is a reason for that.

I am curious too how Tia's spirit magic is working in this world... considering she could recover her memories of a past life because of "how her soul works", there is a "connective tissue" between the various worlds... so maybe the spirits that inhabit each world are pretty much the same or similar enough she can converse with them.

I find it interesting, and quite like it too, that Ed decided to wait for the kidnapping before acting... he is altering things, but he clearly knows there is only so much he can, or should alter, considering that the more he deviates from the first iteration, the more difficulty he will find in resolving certain things.

As his role isn't to be the hero, he needs to be careful with his decisions and actions... if he fumbles a part that shouldn't be fumbled, he could deviate greatly from what needs to be done.

Then... they may lose an important thread of what is to come.

He had to let Mimily get kidnapped, so not only could he uncover the culprit, but he would mend any possible bad blood Doben could have with Waffles... and for that is was equally as important for him to forge respect with Doben.

It would be cool to see if he makes a mistake in one of his returns, and things get to far from what he knows, so he has to adapt to the changes.

MAN Tia stealing all the good scenes; finger shotgun blast, the hand-emoting earth crush, getting the furry hug... I JUST LOVE HER SO MUCH (^,^ )!

And glad they were able to clear up the assassin plot in just a single, efficient chapter. That's the one thing I love about this series, it effectively tells only what it needs to tell, and shows the rest with practically no padding. Big praise to the author(of the manga) here, as a story of this caliber feels like it'd be hard to adapt.

Next chapter should be the big showdown. I expect Waffles to win, but honestly, it doesn't really matter; they will probably go all out to the point they will become best frienemies, if nothing else(also secretly hoping Mimilu falls for Waffles when she sees him fight her brother =03).

I figured the old guy would be Brute himself. I thought he'd be a more manipulative snarky b88888d, but it seems he's just an animalian that has a certain code of ethics. He's still wrong for what he did, and no explanation will change that, but I am intrigued to hear his explanation as to why he wanted Waffles to win. Maybe he thinks Doben's gruff personality doesn't fit his image of what a hero should be, but we'll see...
