I believe in the beginning it said that he took over Sou's old life and was doing well.

However, we know that something spooked Original 1:39 Sou, something very traumatic, then he had an accident which cause him at the very least to lose consciousness and all that to say: what if Sou's personality is completely fabricated as a defense mechanism and he's always been that Sou but his mind made up the isekai.

i think a line mentioned he was doing fine, but be cool if we got a one shot chapter/arc to 'check in' on him. although other than a guy like that in the situation being relieved or anxious, either he'd overreact to a 'headstrong' girl or maybe even get arrested for (physically, not sexually) assaulting another girl for getting too close to his personal space/seeming like an a reserved/cowardly misogynist if not shellshocked by being surrounded by an 'equal' amount of boys

The thing is those regulations were made in a 1:1 world, this is a 1:39 so the expectations are entirely different for every woman here. They genuinely do expect him to have more than one wife, like the standards for duty of marriage would be way less here and entirely surrounded on keeping the man happy, not the women. Just one man is worth 39 women.

I think, at the very least, two per day for a total of 14 would be best in this world. Many have shown a willingness to share with trusted others, and each girl is shown to really only want sex/the occasional dose of romance. A day split for two should be enough to last until the next day.

The main problem is the MC's stamina and emotional capacity, and the standards of marriage would be centered around keeping him satisfied enough to handle such a load. Thus necessitating the women to take off days away from him, or allowing him to rest between mating sessions. He is the catch, he is the princess in this scenario, and it wouldn't be up to him to keep the standards of marriage.

Well said. My issue in this manga is that the author has been a cruel god and made it nigh impossible for every woman to get what she wants without making the few men superhuman.
