Don’t worry, Rinka. Emu just has a pretty unusual taste in reading. Even so, she’s still interested in MC :haa: Next chapter, it looks like there’s going to be some misunderstanding here. Or maybe Ema will help MC keep his distance from Rinka.

Interesting.

Okay, I was wrong last chapter--looks like this was mostly to set up the lore of succubi, and the author's taking it in some (for me) novel directions.

Makes me think we might actually get a more serious introspective look and narrative about how nonhuman beings operate in the world--specifically Succubi--and the struggles involved.

The fact it cut off right as Emu showed up, with that expression, is a touch disappointing due to having to wait to see what happens, but she also should know what succubi are about. So I would be surprised if she blamed him for what's transpiring, at least from a logical standpoint.

Guess we'll see.

Edit: Forgot to say thank you very much for the translation. I consider this important.

Getting upset because a lust demon is getting touchy just shows how ignorant of fantasy you are.
Go drop the series and don't let the door hit you on your way out.
On a more positive note: I love the fangs and they are exquisitely drawn too! Probably a side effect of my thing for vampires, never expected it to work this way :02:

There is this little thing called tone. If this were a raunchy over the top manga then I would have no problem with what was going on. But so far the tone of this Series has been a very serious and down to earth one. It's like the difference between watching a comedy and serious political drama. What flies in one won't fly in the other. Let me give you an example to make what I'm saying clear. Hitting someone over the head with a hammer. In a comedy that's just a moment of slapstick that immediately gets brushed over with no consequences or harm. In a crime thriller that would kill someone and probably be the murder that the cops or detective are trying to solve.

Translation's a little awkward this time, but wow, the series' lore just adopted a whole bunch of stupid implications. We went from inclusion to ranking men and scientific sexism and some kind of poorly-defined sex juju?

It turns out her motive is... just spite? That drove her so crazy that she's going to commit a for-real serious-ass felony and rape this guy she isn't into?

And what the fuck is up with this depiction of rape? Unless there's even more succubus magic at play, somebody sucking your fingers when you ain't feeling it is somewhere between gross and hilarious. Having your ears nibbled by someone you're repelled by just tickles and makes you think "ew, I have spit on me." He's put his "this is fucked up and I'm scared" on hold to marvel at how sexy being assaulted is?

What a fucking embarrassing chapter of a manga.
Goddamn.

I disagree, your example is an extreme measure to justify your view on tone. The very first page of this manga states "I am a succubus" and I could give you a point if this topic never came up again but that is not the case here. The demoness theme is always present, I suggest you chill and enjoy it as it comes, I doubt the author would make Emu brush this off like it's nothing because she's not that type of character and she's well aware of what is happening. There is no room for misunderstandings one way or another: Succubi seduce and men get seduced. Feels rapey? Learn more about fantasy and check again.

Getting 'touchy' with someone who's paralyzed and unable to fight back is called sexual assault. And while the story has fantasy elements, it's presented within a fairly realistic setting. If that's the case, there need to be realistic consequences for actions like this. Otherwise, the story ends up breaking its own internal rules. That's not ignorance of fantasy. That's expecting basic narrative consistency.

That's what you want to see, maybe the author agrees and you get what you want. Maybe you don't. We will find out next chapter for sure.

It literally isn't an extreme measure. And there's a difference between seducing someone and paralyzing them and raping them. The fact that you think that there isn't is quite concerning.

Feel free to educate yourself, I'm done with this pointless exchange :bleh:

Either you're the biggest moron in the world, An extreme sexist, or just a troll. There is a difference between someone being seduced and raping their paralyzed body. And once again I have to bring up the tone of the series. This series so far has been very serious and so if the act of sexual assault goes completely unpunished and is hand waved that goes against the entire internal logic of the series so far.
