I'm so washed when it comes to watching anime. Am curious about re:zero but couldn't be bothered to watch anything. And doesn't like half the jokes go over you in monogatari if you don't know japanese? I've also completely forgotten higurashi.
i love Re:Zero, it manages to have just the right amount of 'self insert' while also having great characters and lore. i'm excited to see when the overarching mysteries of the series are finally explained.

but if you want a decent list of anime you can check out my AniList. anything 8 or over should generally be worth watching.

But holy shit i cant stand that foghorn crying, was she always that annoying?
you mean Satoko? she just needs a little bit of correction, that's all.

I'm so glad I bought that game back when it was only 40$.

Data transfer from Path of Radiance to Radiant Dawn can crash the game for some reason though.
i saw that transferring carries over quite a bit (which units you focused on and stuff). every character that you might've let die magically comes back though lol, but that's expected. it'd be cool to see a Fire Emblem game that incorporates/forces character deaths more i think (i know Three Houses does it somewhat)

Does anyone actually use the "on hold" and "re-reading" sections?
In that thread where users show off how many titles they have on their lists, I don't think anyone uses the re-reading list.
I use the "on hold" section for titles that don't have chapters because of DMCA or banned groups so I read them elsewhere.
i typically use On Hold for currently releasing manga that i'd rather binge instead of read one chapter a month of

GTO and Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei at a 6? smh.
GTO is insanely overrated dood, with how much hype i saw surrounding it before i watched it, i expected to have some kind of epiphany. but it was just alright.

and Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei was the weakest link in that series by far. still worth watching if you liked the first/second seasons i guess, but the first season is the only one i'd recommend

It's not the manga, but I personally think it was great still. Though I do remember seeing some stuff altered in the anime because it was pretty explicit.

The story is as if it was written by Big Yahu himself.
There are several aspects of the story that makes me not able to enjoy it.

1. I'm a huge harem hater, much worse, Polygamy. It's an instant no-go for me, I feel like it's a instant turn off for me. That's the line where the story fully delves into being a self-fulfillment fantasy. It also feels that if you have a romantic partners have an equal role in a relationship, shit like polygamy just creates this imbalance between the partners that the romance doesn't really feel like it matters between the characters. Also, the MC gets away with cheating and having sex with just a slap on a wrist. Clearly the author doesn't care about accountability of the actions taken by the MC, there are multiple instances of this, where the actions of the MC were grave enough to warrant some reaction, but he simply gets away with no consequences. Added to the fact that the author really really like moral licensing. The story seems to reward growth without adequately addressing certain wrongs.

2. I fucking hate Rudeus Grayrat.
