Man, I hope real Japanese teachers don't actually push all their work onto their students and that it's just a manga trope.
It's not as bad as they make it seem but I have heard from a friend who grew up there that the student council does do a shit ton of work. It seems really weird from my perspective growing up in America where students are basically required to do fuck all aside from regular school work, unless they're in a team and even then it's mostly just practice not shit that teachers should be doing lol
The most work I did as a student was when I had a class that basically let me go around the school unsupervised throughout that period as tech support. I don't remember the name of it though but it was either the IT help or I would help in the main office during that period and I chose IT.
There was only a few of us tbh I don't even remember how I got in, I guess my grades were good or something? Or one of my teachers recommended me?
