How are you getting "blocked message" notifications?

I have never gotten anything like that for the hundreds of people I ignore.

All I see is a "Show ignored content" button in the bottom of a page where a ignored person comments.

Is there an alternate blocking system I am not aware of?

It's on an odd clock - 25 or 26 hour cycle, or something like that. It's been getting later in the day each day for a while.
