Tell me about it (learning the Fundamentals of Art straight up suuuuuuucks)
Zeno's Paradox off the top of head:
Suppose you have a hare and a turtle and have them race. The turtle has a head start, and for every step it takes, the hare takes three. The hare catches up and is only three steps behind. The turtle take one. The hare is only one step behind. The turtle moves a little bit further, and the hare that much more, but while the hare moves, the turtle moves a little but more still.
The hare will obviously overtake the turtle at some point, but the paradox lies in the seeming contradiction that this isn't possible, because every time the hare moves, so does the turtle.

The similarity to the relationship here is that Shunpei and An get ever close without ever touching, until you step back and can clearly see that they will. Or if you look at your friend circle, maybe, you'll recognise people having romantic interest in each other and if they're young, inexperienced, or less confident, they spend a lot of time figuring out if they have an interest, and if the other party has an interest, even though you standing on the sideline can easily see they have the hots for each other. Doesn't mean they'll get together, mind you, but you see the foundation is there while the two keep prodding the ground to see if it's stable.

And then quantum mechanics barges in through the door while shouting “SHUT THE FUCK UP the turtle and hare can only advance by an integer number of steps end of the story!!§!”
:kek:

Also…
How do I mute people on this forum as well?
Maybe if you create a whole load of fake accounts and use them to mass report the pedo…

Oh, you literally told me about it! I was actually using the idiomatic phrase, "Tell me about it". I guess I used it wrong? Might be, english isn't my native tongue.

That's why I ranted about fundamentals there, because I believe it's the same as the incremental development of learning art fundamentals, since the moment you "finally" learn the basics and can apply them to anything, you (me, in this case) sorta get frustrated that you're not really improving as much as before, probably even stalling... When in reality you exponentially overcame the biggest hurdles and are now learning little details and fine issues, improving little by little.
But since you are not an observer, so it all seem like an infinite race of never improving, which would not be the case for a mentor/tutor watching your progress.

Or I guess, I should just research these things before writing text walls.

Thanks for the answer!

You used it correctly, friend

'tis the nature of the Internet that the sarcastic tone is left behind and the idiomatic expression gets misunderstood

Unfortunately that would be grounds for a ban, but I think if everyone who dislikes those troll posts (or has them on ignore) leaves a ❌ instead of :slap: the drop in score might raise some attention by the mods. I don't believe VIPs are not quite completely immune from consequences for breaking Forum Rule #1.

@Snovember ’s question was about how to get rid of the pedo in the new “reserved to the elite” comments, which sadly do not have an “Ignore” function, only reaction smileys (reserved to the elite) and a report button (open to everyone). After some more research, if you go to the pedo’s profile, there’s a “Block” button at the top right, so maybe that will make all his comments disappear too…

But regardless, I wonder if mass report directly of his profile shouldn’t be the way to go, bro is really being disgusting…

Do you know any mod we could ask for advice on the matter? I’m not really familiar with the staff here…

Did some testing and unfortunately blocking the user does not block their comments in the pop-up or the main comments feed :angery:

Another gross user experience design choiceoversight from the dev team, I suppose. I found only one post about it in the feedback threads, and it doesn't seem to be on the main bug list.

Hey, @EtherealNeko, could we get your opinion on this whole thread here? The question of blocking users in the new comment section, and the specific case of the aforementioned pedo? Thanks in advance.
