If those were the conditions for paying his tuition and living expenses, then he should abide by them. Going through his trash is creepy though. I think an outcome-based agreement would be more fair. Instead of a blanket no-dating rule, the financial assistance should be contingent on him getting good grades or similar.

I don't think you understand how hard it is to escape from a toxic conservative parent. A lot of Asian (Latino as well) countries have the culture of conservative thinking where they say "blood is thicker than water." It's a culture where you have to trust, rely, and give back to your parents otherwise you are often looked down. It's so difficult.....That's why Yuki was so happy that Rina was accepting about being no contact with her mother.
These types of parents exist on social media as "boy moms" where they proudly show how they are so into their sons that it feels incestuous. Go through the tags and you will see that these types of child-parent relationships are so common. We are watching it happen in front of our eyes.

I can't imagine any woman wanting her as a stepmother unless the person he married is super rich to where they'd be in a mansion and never meet the stepmom again XD
