I interpreted it as them telling Yamaoka to go with her, but they still don't like having Futaki around since they know Kurita doesn't like her. At least that's how I interpreted it.

I remember this story on Oishinbo Ala Carte. I always hoped that I could read that book Yamaoka mentioned translated one day

I interpreted it as them telling Yamaoka to go with her, but they still don't like having Futaki around since they know Kurita doesn't like her. At least that's how I interpreted it.

They ARE wishywashy, because they both want Kurita to go for Dan for no other treason than " He's such a rich catch " whilst also ignoring that they both married out of LOVE and not because of their spouses's careers. How would they react if Kurita suddenly said " Well...you sure settled. " with all the passiveaggressiveness that holds?

They also seem to want Yamaoka to get his ass in gear and go for Kurita but they also dont think he's worthy of her period. I HOPE Kurita has a actual " Stay out of MY life " moment because its been stated before, but these are NOT good friends.

Also I will say, giving Futaki shit for being proactive when Kurita isnt...like Yamaoka isnt anyones boyfriend or husband yet, the fact she actually pursues it isnt why she should be criticised, she should be criticised for doing the same kind of scheming the other love interests are trying to do.
