Personally, I don't think Katsura Airi would do something like that; it would seem a bit sloppy. The solution is simple—just like what others on the board have suggested. I really wish Airi-sensei would read this message board, too.

132 won't reach this far we are only here because we don't yet know what direction the story will go or even how soon it ends my bet is still 13 is the last volume with 9 chapters maybe 7 or 8 because I feel the author has given up and is just going thru the motions at this point the netorare was the highlight of the manga for her.

No, I think it's ruined. The fans already annoyed. It's no point bringing back Chico right now. Because the theme of this manga is ntr and ntr baits, and the audience were dumped in chapter 129 seriously. Using the same theme as before is just meaningless since we suffered already. Even the author wants to continue, I'm not sure she knows other scenarios apart from ntr situations.

It'd require quite the perspective shift but its possible to view it that way. Makes it slightly better to take for some but overall it doesn't keep it from being a weak move if this becomes a full commit type to Fumi shift. Now if its as @SS-2010 says and Katsura is going for the petty spite publisher route irl than all our ideas might as well go out the window. I'm a believer of 2nd chances and maybe Kodansha can be too and this is one of them given the near radio silence since the X outbursts and whatnot. My basis for this faith? A person reposting that Suisei Miku song is going to do good things for the month of July, credible? Absolutely not.

The problem with Guilty Circle isn't that people aren't reading it online, it's that they're still buying the volumes. The series had 2.5M copies in circulation by Vol. 15 early last year, then reached 3.3M by Vol. 18 at the end of the year, which means that, despite all the drama, it still sold almost a million more copies last year.

It's kind of like Juujika no Rokunin, one look at the discourse online and you'd think the manga was doing absolutely dogshit and nobody was reading it anymore, but then it'd announce another sales milestone and you'd realize why the shit took so long to end.

It's probably because people are tired of following it chapter by chapter, as in, "I fucking hate all the cliffhangers, I'd rather read the whole volume when it comes out," or they're tired of reading weekly but are still stuck in the sunk cost fallacy.

The reversed NTR is potential. But could the author come up with that idea? Also, I suppose that during these current weeks, a lot of readers purchase for the chapter to see what's gonna happen next. Is there any probability that the author think it as a success?
