V5 officially started in 2023 since that's when everything was back up. Though while MangaDex was shut down in 2021, it did return as a pretty barebones reader in 2022, so you could technically say that was V4.

Mangosex discord is dead anyways. the forums have far more activity, both in posts and cumulative brainpower

You gotta consider this was when profile posts were more normalized, you would see even regulars like @DavidianMillerian writing posts there often. Plus we usually would post in multiple threads like Shitpost here, Shits and Giggles Thread, etc. It wasn't until later that the Casual Chatting thread caught on.
