Unless I'm misremembering, Shinobu in depressed lying on the empty floor, I was under the impression he was still just thinking about what Sakura and playboy were doing.

No shinobu was depressed on the night fuckboi told him they had sex that was the first night that they spent together we can only say she was with him twice for sure.

I don't know if you're right, first we see Shinobu's pov, where he says that months have passed and that Sakura is doing well at her new agency; then there's the scene with Shinobu lying down and feeling depressed; next is the scene with the fuckboi and Sakura; and it ends with Shinobu waking up to meet up with Fumi and the movie staff, I think the scene with the fuckboi and Sakura takes place months later, the same night Shinobu was feeling depressed.

But the thing is, Shinobu and Fumi having sex is no gurnatee they will be together for the end of the series, any amount of fuckery can happen to break them up, have Sakura return to Shinobu or just have Shinobu be alone for the ending.

In the event it becomes clear that Sakura wants to go back to Shinobu then Fumi is 100% getting sacrificed to make that happen.

Great point, else chapter 102 would've made fuckboiXSakura an impossible event but it happened through the power of plot convenience mixed with fuckery. We don't know where were headed except for hopefully some more Fumi sexy time, but Shikura still lurks in the shadows for now.

Aside from that? Even if the window was there, I don't think it'd fit for Shinobu's character to just ditch Fumi for Sakura or leave her.
