I like that the VERY first comment was just a butthurt dumbfuck waiting on his toes for a proper Yuu negative chapter (which is this one) to spill his said butthurt. Never change romcom addicts never change.
It could have been much worse. Yuu's actions in this chapter were, all things considered, decent. If anything, they reinforce what I already said: the boy may be braver and more decisive, but he will always be a submissive boy. He will always let Yami and Hikari make the decisions for him and will only act when they push him to.
Romcom addicts still haven't internalized the role-reversal and female domination nature of the story, and Maruto didn't even try to hide it in that chapter where Yami and Hikari dressed as men. In fact, if there's one good thing about Yuu not being in the same school as them, it's that they would have probably already dressed him as a girl at this rate.
And for Yuu, what the fuck were you even trying to accomplish here?
He's trying to get Hikari to pull him out of the mud, apparently.
Aya doesn't consider the first offer a real offer b/c he doesn't have a plan. That's why he folds the second she challenges him on it and offers running away. What she's looking for is that he not fold but actually legit work on a plan with her
In other words, just the thing what he proposed. "Let's work together on a plan, let's think about what to do". His alternative offer is simply to make it clear that he doesn't intend to let her fall into the abyss, even if it drags him down with her.
He's not being the push she wants/needs to reconcile if he's also offering an easy way out/fall back to cowardice.
Yes, the point is that this doesn't fit with his personality —which, again, will always be submissive— nor is pushing Yami like that likely to fix anything, as Hikari's actions in chapter 41 demonstrated. As I suspected, this chapter proved —again— that only teamwork between Yuu and Hikari can save Yami.
To all the people that said Yuu hadn't done anything wrong, you can shut up now.
He did nothing wrong yet.
