The twelve Nasi all brought the same offerings one at a time.

You can read what happened next.

You are reading a manga that says female promiscuity is a virtue, and that women should pursue men as well as personal AMBITIONS.
It's full of gays and bis and trans and the cutest throuple ever.

Why are YOU here, talking politics?
They're not a throuple, that's been made clear

Weirdos like you are the whole ass reason grifters get any attention at all.
Why are misandrists even allowed to have opinions? Crawl back in your hole and stfu
You literally just made an account to dogwhistle about feminists because someone said "maybe all these comments calling for the torture and death of a character you just admitted is merely naive are overreacting", don't act like you have normal opinions about women

(also, for fuck's sake, you can't say "your whole response is 'you all just hate women'" while literally ignoring the other 3 paragraphs of their response. Literacy is dead indeed.)

Ok, I'm gonna be honest here.
I am disliking the whole deity stuff. Sure, we knew they were powerful, but the way things are now, it feels like all the political plot was irrelevant, kind of a Deus Ex Machina.
I know that we still have to learn more stuff, like how the other deities will act. But I think this is what makes Shura extra hateable. It's not just that she is a spoiled brat, but because she is a spoiled brat who, with a single move, can undo everything it was build so far (not only in the demon world but story wise)

Ugh, Baal doesn't deserve a yandere princess diety. I was kinda hoping the deities would be less... pathetic? Like even if she came to greatly dote on him due to their tea time and him saving her (from a situation he created but whatever guess she isn't smart enough to put that together) this is just kinda sad. It's like watching a wealthy kid that's ignorant of the world have all the keys to make decisions that affect everyone just because of something stupid like heritage. I was hoping more Hades (game) chthonic gods (gods linked to the Underworld and Death and similar things) and less priveleged elite with all the power in the world and none of the intelligence or experience or basic wisdom and sense to properly weild it.

Oh and the onions. Oh the onions. 😢

I don't think Shura should be stripped of her power. She's not evil, just stupid and manipulated (which is a deadly combo by any right).

Most likely, the story will end with Princess Shura herself delivering punishment on Baal, and her giving an apology plus bowing her head to Iruma, which would be unprecedented since Demons and Humans are below Deities. Of course, this would be the happier ending. The alternative is that Baal kills Shura before she could do anything or before she finds out, preventing her from getting in his way. This would cement Baal as the most dangerous threat in the Demon World, since no one could imagine killing a Deity.

Occam's razor doesn't help you; the quantity of prerequisite assumptions is the same in both cases: the perfume is absolutely effective vs. it is not.

Both are plausible given the known facts and neither is intrinsically simpler.
It doesn't need to be absolute, just good enough.

It's the most plausible explanation.
Why can't they smell it? Maybe because of the thing that he has on him so as to not smell human
Occam's razor. It's simple, it's obvious.

Him wear thing make no smell.
So he no smell.

Without it, he smells delicious and causes beasts to wig out (date with Ameri). It was too weak at first and he smelled kinda tasty ("Aberhauge...tzurezaza").
Sure, I'll rephrase: the number of prerequisite assumptions in both cases is the same; the perfume is good enough to mask fresh blood vs. it isn't.

Occam's razor is not a symmetry breaker here. You are applying it incorrectly.

To be crystal clear, your explanation may very well be correct, so you don't need to sell it to me. I'm pointing out that there are other defensible views that account for the perfume given what we've actually been told about it. You might be right, but you also might not be. It isn't settled, and those who disagree with you aren't necessarily overlooking something major.

And I can't be sure what you're referring to with the parenthetical. If it's his entrance ceremony spell, we're told (and it's shown) that it's just a spell to prevent falling over for a day. If it's something else, you'll have to refresh me; my recall of hundreds of chapters/multiple years earlier in the story is not actually encyclopedic.
OK, so you're being pedantic and using the academic definition, as opposed to colloquial.

While talking about imaginary magic perfume.

You put energy into weird things.

I mean, this manga is really heavy on allegory.

Maybe you just lack media literacy? Typical. Turns out most people just find a naive child in a position of power doing naive things kinda annoying. The gender doesn't matter to me and doesn't matter to most people. You people are the ones making it about "YoU aLl HaTe WoMeN."

I get it though. It's easier to just be a misandrist weirdo. Get a grip or get off the internet. Nobody wants to know what you mouth breathers have to say.

I think you're on the right track, but I don't think it'll be satisfying if it isn't Iruma himself that takes down Baal directly. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if that's exactly what Sullivan getting locked up is building toward; up until now, a lot of the arcs with potentially serious consequences have followed a pattern where, if the child/student characters are facing a challenge they literally can't handle, their goal instead becomes "get in touch with a parent/teacher who can and/or hold out until they arrive".

But with Sullivan out of the picture, Iruma's ace in the hole is now gone. And I strongly suspect Baal's coup is far from done; I'm sure he's going to find ways to compromise or remove any other high-ranking demons who might be sympathetic to Iruma, so it'll fall to Iruma and his peers to step up and deal with him and his cronies.

This ain’t for kids. And I see few ways for everything to go better. Honestly, we can expect a Little Iruma advanture in the human world ( with Red love cat probably joining him with her father capabilities ( Yeah i forgot the name ) ) then he goes back after a bit of time or smth to fight the great démon once he is stronger, with all His friend which have also growth…

the end ( Maybe but i don’t want it to be so soon )

Well, "temporary" demon kings existed, we know because of what happened during Henry's flashback/Merize's story arc. There doesn't seem to be any specific conditions or criteria to meet for one to be appointed as a temporary demon king. It does raise a question from me is that: Can a "permanent" (or lifetime demon king) challenge a deity's authority? Clearly Delkira's seal held a lot of sway for the past few centuries in the demon world and the Deities have respected said seal.
Now previously, it was clear Shura had no intention of tearing up a contract/declaration with Delkira's seal. And in terms of magic and strength, it certainly doesn't seem Shura posses the might to fight personally from what we saw in her introduction all these chapters ago...
So are the demons and deities/heaven under a treaty and Shura was appointed to oversee the terms being enforced?
|
Regardless, if Shura had a working brain cell (and without bias in her judgement), she'd have scolded Baal for tearing up Delkira's stamped contract/declaration. Procedures in a process are followed to prevent mishaps and misunderstandings... and if Shura had followed the procedure and honored the contract, Sullivan wouldn't even be arrested right there and then. The correct thing to do would have been slapping an ankle monitor on Sullivan and investigate Iruma herself personally and judge Sullivan and Iruma accordingly.
The human-smuggling crime and demon king appointment are separate matters and she failed miserably at distinguishing the 2 issues separately.

From the words she mentioned about "keeping other deities apprised"... let's see if there's any development from those words. But it is likely there are superiors above Shura who would be older, wiser, and more careful of demons potentially manipulating her.

Hah? I rephrased to illustrate how your response doesn't change the underlying reasoning at all. That's called consistency, not pedantry.

And academic/colloquial has nothing to do with anything. You're claiming that your interpretation is simpler and therefore stronger, when that's just factually not true.

It's also pretty hypocritical of you to act like I'm being anal over details when your entire original diatribe was about how stupid people must be to forget that magic perfume macguffin from hundreds of chapters ago that rarely if ever gets mentioned again. Do you even hear yourself? 🤡

Yeah, she should be stripped of her power, she is/was clearly unprepared and (nearly) carelessly granted a her bias unchallenged authority to the entire demon world. It is only a fitting punishment that people in power who failed to wield it responsibly be removed from power. Usually power would be restored to them if they learned to be better at wielding said power responsibly, but that's usually if a higher authority cares to do so.
Of course in most stories (IRL and fiction), said people in power are only removed or corrected themselves to stay in power after reasonable (usually overwhelming violent) force is applied.

I doubt Shura will deliver the "punishment" to Baal herself. It is far more likely that other parties will be involved and correct her or remove her from power. And in the aftermath of the Demon King succession conflict, Baal's punishment/exile will lead him to suffer at her yandere tendency and heavy love - likely imprisoning and locking Baal in her chambers until he is "fixed". After all, no hero can end their story without a princess. :devilish:

I really hope the princess gets her wings torn and thrown into the pit with Baal where she will forever suffer for being so incredibly incompetent
