They still have not fully caught up with uploading there all of the stuff that got purged here.

And a lot of the ones that they do put there, are ending up getting purged too for "forbidden content".

Mods said that it was to not give them the delight of using their already uploaded comments as ads to their site. So they went full scorched earth with their uploads.

same thing there though, they could just search for the site links (very easy to do) and edit it out of the comments

It was an Alonescans manga, so it got purged when their whole group got banned for pay walling from MD, along with everything they ever uploaded.

Damn, they had a lot of stuff! It’s a shame we don’t have a list of all of the titles that were nuked by this

If Kappabeast or KDT scans ever get banned for doing similar things, then there goes a large chunk of the currently ongoing manga being uploaded here.

yeah it honestly just seems like a bad decision to nuke all previously uploaded chapters just because a scanlator starts paywalling, especially after the DMCA nukes last year. it's like you just started healing from a previous injury and then shoot yourself in the foot

I kind of think that keeping those chapters would be like promoting pay walling pirated chapters.
Mangadex is already grazing the borderline of getting banned due to the strikes, and hence they follow through whatever the publishers desire, like dmca strikes, stop taking donations.
Putting scanlated chapters for free itself is breaking the law. Then on above, taking the profit for those chapters, which you didn't publish or create, and just scanlated is something, that would itself provoke the publishers to take actions.
