I think Shinobu is already truly in love with Fumi, but Fumi is still feeling insecure. This is probably because even though Shinobu shows his affection, they haven't had those 'I'm over Sakura' or 'Now I only love you' types of conversations yet. During the period between when Shinobu got the director job and had sex with Fumi for the first time, up until he finished writing the script (which I guess might be a month), it seems Shinobu lived together with Fumi (so ShiFumi might have had sex a few times). I think Shinobu is not the type of person who would do that with a girl he doesn't have romantic feelings for. Maybe the timeline progressed too fast and rushed, so we didn't get to see ShiFumi's sweet moments, which in turn makes us doubt whether Shinobu actually loves Fumi.

Don't you think the author NOW trying to tell us both Sakura and Shinobu have one-time sex with fucboy and Fumi ?

Shinobu might stay over night at Fumi's room writing the script just because it always close to the meeting place with the producer. We don't know they've sex again and again or not. So we don't know about their relationship's development. We only saw the broken relationship of Sakura and fucboy.

I wish Grapara will be twisted to be a rom-com manga with a harem ending (Shinobu x Sakura x Fumi). This will be a big surprise but it'll please the rom-com readers for sure. LOL Could my wish come true ? LOL

If we follow Airi's logic, it seems that since both Sakura and Shinobu have had sex with other people, they are 'even.' They could meet, have a conversation to resolve the misunderstanding, and break down in emotions because they can finally be together. But there's a huge problem: if that happens, Fumi—the purest and currently most beloved character—would have to suffer and be miserable, which would cause an even greater outrage. It's honestly really hard to resolve this mess. I think if Airi had total control, she might put Shinobu and Sakura back together, but if Kodansha steps in, the ending will be with Fumi.

That’s why the open ending @A.Tanakaaa proposed is the best option !

Turn the story into a harem scenario where Shinobu is single and can choose girls in Mio’s agency including Nagi, Sakura, and Fumi (who join after deciding to be an actress). Plus Chico will jump into the mix. The girls then schedule specific days of the week for each of them to "use" Shinobu. LOL

"Grapara" would finally become a proper rom-com ! LOL

I think that if Keiichi Nishikida and Kodansha stepped in to resolve the situation, a harem ending might be a good solution. However, if KA continues writing, I suspect the ending might be a bit bittersweet—although I really want KA to write a happy ending like in Karami Zakari Bangaihen 3 ~ Sonogo no Niiyama~.

May I suggest a very old film, Indecent Proposal (1993). It's a NTR film starred Robert Redford (antagonist), Demi Moore (female lead) and Woody Harrelson (male lead).

Woody Harrelson delivers a famous line, "The things that people in love do to each other, they remember. And if they stay together, it's not because they forget. It's because they forgive."

If you're too young, you may not understand it and somehow feel bored but when I re-watched it years later, I do understand and like it... Forgive, Not Forget ...

I believe Shinobu will say as Woody Harrelson said.

I think for both sides, although mostly Shinobu's more than Sakura's it is left open ended enough to give the writers freedom because of the omission of specific details. The slice of life bit for ShiFumi could've easily shown them growing emotionally closer holding hands, or just not bothering to draw the shirt on the sleeping Fumi for some extra fanservice. I'm a big believer of it's not shown then it didn't happen in a manga.

The implications are still there though, so until the next chapter reveals what could end up being the obvious....we get to have a back and forth about it lol.

The cast of Gal NiPa is way too flexible compared to GraPara! lol, the harem ending only worked in the end because it was already a core part of the manga with the MC having moments with all 3 girls consistently throughout it even though NiPa was clearly the main love interest.

I think Sakura's decision was to return to being a gravure idol (not doing sex scenes), then quit her old agency and join Mio's new agency, and break up with Yuma.
After that, Sakura returned to her old home and met Shinobu, and the two resolved their misunderstandings.
Before that, Shinobu refused to revise the script to prevent Fumi from playing that scene, which displeased the director and led to Shinobu not continuing with the film. This left Shinobu free, giving Mio the opportunity to invite her to work with them, along with Fumi. The three of them worked together happily. The ending is open-ended.

The open ending could be a safe option for the three of them but i don't think that will happen.But i can see that ending here.
