All part of the build up to their reunion I feel. Showing the Fucboi Sakura spat and then Fumi being haunted by Sakura's shadow on her own.

If a miracle happens and they flip the opinion of Sakura with some bs twist reveals, ShiKura can be an equally good endgame. Can't comment much more until they go through the confrontation though.

And i agree that is really hard to understand what they're because we see Shinobu that has feelings for Fumi and being worried about her sexual scene but in the same time he has his ligering fellings for Sakura.

And for Sakura we see her more distant from Fuckboi and see her value Shinobu a lot and FOR ME it makes possible to see that she still has ligering feelings for him too.

But Airi is really is falling to make us understand how both characters are feeling now and IF they're on way to move on from each other or another thing happening.

Like you said a miracle has to happen to make public change their opinion.And we have to remember that is Airi Katsuri that is writing this manga so don't expect big developmnet from her.

@hugorito420 If you want my unbiased odds prediction I'm 70/30 Fumi favored based on what we've seen so I'm happy to see your 60/40 in comparison. A lot will depend on how their reunion plays out, what their emotions are, if they've kept anything suppressed this entire time and a whole bunch of other things I can't think of. What they have going for them despite all the disadvantages around them is that they're the MCs in the end, and maybe it's not saying a whole lot, but it can mean a lot if the writers want it to.

I'm well aware of fan preference, but I'd still much prefer KA to pen the finale towards an ending they intended for all along versus one to appease the fans in a scramble (if the two overlap then it works out ig). ShiFumi will make for a nice ending, but ShiKura is THE ending because the road to it is so ridiculously impossible and stupid right now that it becomes beautiful if KA decides the feelings between Shinobu and Sakura built across 120+ chapters don't give a damn about anything. Conversely maybe to KA 30+ chapters is > 120+ and ends this as a manga that ripped the MC's apart in the last 7 chapters to have them end up single or with side characters.

I can vibe with this, Mio's agency sounds like the perfect escape from frkin blonde and fucboi.

Beauty of this being fiction. It's still not clear what Airi has planned because both MC x side character relationships took a bit of a hit. Ending pages suggests it's potentially time to for MC's to reunite at a crossroads. To me compensation ending are not good ones. ShiKura if they can swing it without too much bs clears.

If we follow Airi's logic, it seems that since both Sakura and Shinobu have had sex with other people, they are 'even.' They could meet, have a conversation to resolve the misunderstanding, and break down in emotions because they can finally be together. But there's a huge problem: if that happens, Fumi—the purest and currently most beloved character—would have to suffer and be miserable, which would cause an even greater outrage. It's honestly really hard to resolve this mess. I think if Airi had total control, she might put Shinobu and Sakura back together, but if Kodansha steps in, the ending will be with Fumi.
