Do they ever explain Rosse background? Like does she have parents or just one parent? Is she actually blood sisters with her sister or just adopted? I mean the most obvious thing would be they had two parents and one was red and the other silver, but they dont really touch on that aspect much.

Rossweisse and Isabella are both blood sisters. Their parents died when they were young, leaving them to be raised by their grandmother, a great dragon scholar. When grandma retired, she succeeded in getting Rossweisse to take her throne. Dragon thrones are not hereditary per se, instead, a pool of heir candidates are raised and trained who may or may not be kin to the reigning king, with the best taking the throne. However, if the candidates are not ready when the dragon king dies, things may get bad enough that the clan has to disband.

Where did you read that their parents are dead? The last I read, their parents are still very much alive.
