well sakura didnt message shinobu that she got raped by her colleague that morning though. what should the readers respond to it then? ooh maybe she feel unworthy of him, so she rather living with her rapist.
What kind of mind process is that.
Nah im sick of this. She cheated. Wasn't raped. Stop it. Her actions afterwards also indicated she wasn't raped. Shes friendly with Yuma and asked for advice. Just stop.
Agree with you. No matter how anyone tries to excuse it, Sakura is still the worst woman; she no longer deserves to receive love from Shinobu. What needs to be seen now is Sakura's downfall and regret, proportional to what she has done.
Chapter 134 shew us Sakura didn't stay with the fucboy no matter their relationship is. Also, she changed his status from calling him "Yuma-kun" to "Yuma-san". She increased the gap of their relationship.

Ok, I'll just simply follow @diphuc1 's suggestion that I'd explain things using scientific reasons rather than relying on emotion. LOL

According to statistics in Japan, 30 rape victims, 29 kept the incident to themselves without telling anyone, while only one told a friend or someone else. Could this explain Sakura's behavior after being raped ?

That sounds shocking, doesn't it? But the reality is even harsher because in other countries, 10-20% of victims disclose the incident to others. It's certainly a small number but still significantly higher than in Japan.

Sorry @box2024 , this is a part of Japan that I want you to know. Japan has many good things but they also hide many bad things that they don't want foreigners or their people to know. It does involve politicians.

There is a very strong cultural tendency in Japan to keep this matter a secret because the society tends to condemn the victim rather than the rapist, like the criticism Sakura faced. You see ?

The backlash Sakura encountered mirrors what real-life rape victims in Japan experience. Furthermore, the legal system itself has historically facilitated rape, leading victims to choose silence.

Japan is a country with a history of rape. Its laws has encouraged it for a hundred year because it was a standard tactic during warfare. Wherever Japanese troops went, they would round up women to staff brothels for their soldiers.

We were all too young to fully grasp these matters back then. I only learned the details through studying the history of World War II.

War is incredibly brutal and the generations of our grandparents and great-grandparents endured truly horrific experiences.

It is unfortunate some issues such as the promotion of rape and the curtailing of women's rights in Japan were only addressed as 2023.

Anyway, taking action is still better than doing nothing and allowing society to continue to rot.

I apologize for making things serious but this really is a serious matter.

Thank you for bearing with this unpleasant read all the way to this line. LOL

Liking the different approach you went with this time to connect some of it back into GraPara!. Now sadly because this is Katsura Airi doing the writing, we all know at best maybe ~10% of this has been considered by the actual writer and she'll maybe only swing the angle of Sakura not living with fucboi because having that being actual thing in addition to her potentially accepting his confession and going out with him right after is some hentai doujinshi levels of logic which works poorly even in a slow burn ntr plotline for a long running manga as GraPara!

It will become evident in 135 if everyone here has done more thinking than Airi and we get a lame chapter after the break, or we all get caught by surprise with a new reveal.

I think the problem is that the whole rape thing is just an assumption or a “headcanon”, there’s nothing in the manga that suggests it’s being portrayed as rape. Given the direction the manga is taking, it’s more likely that it was a consensual act. I still believe the percentage of people who think it’s rape is too low

There's another direction shift likely going from 134, no idea where it's going for the finale but again this topic should be dropped unless KA herself ties it back into the plot, and the chances of that are < 1% because there are more plot relevant things that would take priority.

Maybe you'll change your view after Grapara faces lawsuits from human rights organizations and rape survivors by its outraged content.

I don’t believe the people who successfully pushed for changes to the century-old rape laws in 2023 would just sit idly by if they read Grapara.

Anyway, we're just foreigners. We can only see whether what will happen if the chapter 129 wasn't revised.

Hard to agree on rape part. A non consensual infidelity wouldnt let the perpetrator used up a box or two of condoms.
Cant she run or scream of rape during the scene, or while yuma change another condom. The phone was not to far away from her and yet she never reached it to dial 110 or 8891 at all.
Or was she being threatened with sharp objects? the only sharpest objects in that room are condom wrappers. It is universally agreed that sakuras mind is never sharp.
Man, i hate this rape excuse.

I don't think we'll see that, so I don't think I'll change my view

As interesting as this would be, GraPara! isn't Oshi no Ko levels of attention, just a solid following of romcom enjoyers that experienced a rugpull and tons of emotional damage. At the current political landscape I think Japan has more pressing issues to deal with, but I like the energy you have for this discussion haha. If anything I hope 135 is well received so KA and anime/manga fans of her alike can happily attend their Comiket event mid-August.

She was already mentally checked out after 128, last thing she processed was Shinobu calling and that as pretty much it. Again not a topic to really dwell on or debate at much as it has, the story must go on. Also I don't think anyone is claiming "she was raped so it must be ok!". The final verdict remains the same, Sakura was an inexscusable idiot who made a series of the worst decisions possible to make it a walk in the park for her to get taken advantage of given the emotional state she was in.

This is just my personal opinion, but I think the whole rape theory was ruled out starting in Chapter 130, when Sakura decided to get closer to the fuckboi. For me, that theory became headcanon, I think it’s the only theory I’ve seen that strikes me as headcanon. Everyone is free to believe what they want, so if someone wants to believe it was rape, good for them

Atp it's a waste of time and energy to deliberate over dead plot points, few moar days til 135 and the yaps can be maybe more interesting.

Having to keep hearing this is worse than reading chapter 129 for the 1st time. It reminds me of that guy on twitter who is spamming Airi every time she posts talking about this nonsense, posting articles about court cases or something. This conversation is unbearable lol. No more of it.

On a lighter note, reading through these comments I noticed the Sakura supporters sure do read a whole hell of a lot NTR stories. There seems to be a massive correlation with Sakura supporters and having some incredible in depth knowledge of NTR stories. Im suspicious.

NTRmongus? Anyways nah this Sakura stuff is lite, Futamine Kobito does way more evil stuff to their FMC's, wish they moved onto doing regular manga, their art style would work.

Many rape victims are raped multiple times in a single day so you can't just rely on your own opinion regarding the law. The law states that it has nothing to do with how many times a condom was used. LOL

Oh, I just referred to the rape law in my country that the judge won't count the number of condom and said it's not raping. LOL

Recently, a teacher was arrested on charges of repeatedly raping multiple students for a few years (of course, he used over a hundred condoms).

The matter was exposed after a victim's family noticed unusual behavior in the child, leading to legal proceedings and became news.

@baabaaboo the teacher did not use a sharp object to coerce the students into sexual intercourse but he only exploited his status as a teacher. And the court ruled that the act constituted rape regardless the absence of a sharp weapon and the use of more than one condom. LOL

I don't want to talk about this matter but I admit I enjoy teasing people who dislike the word "rape."

Sorry for being a sadist. LOL

My point is the amount of NTR manga some of you all seem to consume probably gives you a propensity to give Sakura some leeway since there is an incredible amount of NTR mamga being read. I suspect some of the people here may not even realize they are actually NTR fans lol
