That is true; It isn't the 70s-90s anymore. BL manga doesn't go by looks anymore: Taller/Intimidating one is Seme + Girly-looking/Shorter one is the Uke. Things are more fluid now. There have been some "nerdy" MCs that have topped muscular bottoms out on the internet.

You forget that Japan is all about traditions so, not many surbverse the norm, it's still a rule: the tall one = the seme
