Wow, the parents are just coming out of the woodworks now. They exist! And I’m just giggling at how Hime’s mom just sees her own daughter as the absolute klutz she is. Then again, since she had to sign off for Hime to work, she definitely knew the circumstances behind why she started working there in the first place.
As for Mitsuki’s mom, it’s hard for me to tell. Her last lines definitely straddle the line between ”eeh?” and “eek!” for me. Maybe she means well but is just bad at expressing herself, just like her daughter. Or maybe she‘ll be the narrow-minded parent with impossible standards we all fear she’ll be.
And while it’s good to see Hime worry about Mitsuki being pressured by her mother to quit, I don’t see much cause for concern. It seems like Mitsuki is looking for recognition, not affirmation. She herself seems quite happy with her own choices and progress, and she has her father’s full-hearted approval now. Maybe her confidence took a hit with how her classmates behaved a few chapters ago, but at least at Liebe she has Hime and the others there with her. I think she’ll be fine.
The real story is what’s going on with Hime. The blushes, the skin-ship, the little “badump” that made her silently go “what was that?” It feels like my patience and unshakable faith in this ship is finally paying off.
