Oh whew she just wants to make sure her daughter goes down the correct path, for a moment I was worried that she'd want to make her quit Liebe or something.
A mother always knows what's best for her child, after all.

Wow, the parents are just coming out of the woodworks now. They exist! And I’m just giggling at how Hime’s mom just sees her own daughter as the absolute klutz she is. Then again, since she had to sign off for Hime to work, she definitely knew the circumstances behind why she started working there in the first place.

As for Mitsuki’s mom, it’s hard for me to tell. Her last lines definitely straddle the line between ”eeh?” and “eek!” for me. Maybe she means well but is just bad at expressing herself, just like her daughter. Or maybe she‘ll be the narrow-minded parent with impossible standards we all fear she’ll be.

And while it’s good to see Hime worry about Mitsuki being pressured by her mother to quit, I don’t see much cause for concern. It seems like Mitsuki is looking for recognition, not affirmation. She herself seems quite happy with her own choices and progress, and she has her father’s full-hearted approval now. Maybe her confidence took a hit with how her classmates behaved a few chapters ago, but at least at Liebe she has Hime and the others there with her. I think she’ll be fine.

The real story is what’s going on with Hime. The blushes, the skin-ship, the little “badump” that made her silently go “what was that?” It feels like my patience and unshakable faith in this ship is finally paying off.

Oh hell naw, man, mama's design and vibes, for some reason, feels similar to Yoko to me, despite the shorter hair and less droopy eyes. Well, this is me being totally schizophrenic anyway.

The way she says "The correct path" totally scream that she'll be the next obstacle to overcome for the main couple, just like Yoko was for Kanoko and Sumika.

The "correct path" thing does foreshadow homophobia but even if she's not, I kind of doubt ma is gonna look kindly on her daughter's crush being someone whose life goal has been to marry into money.
If anything, I'd much sooner expect her to complain about Hime being from a much lower social standing than her being a woman, ngl.

The "correct path" speculation seems to me to refer more to Yano's life plan than her sexuality. I imagine that she wants Yano to focus on studying because the unis that her mum wants her to go to see like the tip top of the competitive and prestigious.
The idea of her daughter working in a concafe a non standard place for what her mum wants to be a standard life that "gets in the way" of studies.
If anything rather than Yano's mum being out and out homophobic, is expect her to oppose her working at liebe as an extended metaphor for homophobia. Yano inviting her parents to see her work is an analogue for coming out.

I agree. By "correct" she definitely implies "high tier university, then prim and proper desk job that pays well" instead of "dress up cafe for degens". She says she wants the best for her, but she definitely just wants for her to choose what she thinks is right, not Yano. We're gonna have a big ol' drama, not sure if with homophobia mixed in, but she will for sure challange the idea of Yano working at Liebe.

Mom may become a homewrecker but... haven't you all seen the sparkles between Yano and Hime at every touch and gesture?! That was so precious!

This is probably just a stretch, but I like the parallels between the relationship between Yano's parents and the relationship between Yano and Hime. With her parents remarrying soon, perhaps the childhood duo could finally get together...?

I KNEW Mitsuki's Mom looked familiar. She looks like a slightly older Yoko. This does not bode well.......
And Miman is definitely not a "sameface" mangaka, so that means this was done on purpose...
