From quickly checking WN Raw, they skipped/changed (dunno about LN, I'd assume that this is the LN development?)
Skipped the whole helping student council out.

And Patience is visiting Alchemy Club alone instead of having Keith with her.

Though in doing so I also realized it's going to be such a long time til:
Those 3 bitches get removed.

Hope you guys enjoy the chapter! Let me know if there's mistakes or whatnot
I think the text in page 6 might be incorrect. From the previous chapter, I don't think she's taking alchemy classes yet, it's just something she was looking into taking. And if she is taking alchemy classes, it seems odd that she's introduced to the output of alchemy from the club rather than the class.

Alchemy certainly looks fun. It might also be uniquely suited to her magic, which mixes multiple effect precisely but on a small scale to "craft" various objects (tea, embroidery, repairs, etc.). It should help with creating magic tools and circuitry.
Is it actually okay to invite someone to join a club on a topic she has yet to learn? I guess it's more to enjoy alchemy together and later on she can actually start "composing" tools herself.

I didn't realise the three girls who are friends with the princess would remain so antagonistic; they somewhat challenged her at the music club and I thought her composition had sorted things out, but I guess they'll continue nitpicking about her.

yeah in the light novel it also went over the student council stuff with keith and the visit to the club, but ig its inconsequential is the overall schemes of things, as for the 3 girls - Im hoping to see a good adaptation of Patience's crash out

Hmm, I tried phrasing it as she's going to be taking alchemy in-between her mandatory classes she'll have for her chosen track once she moves into the Senior Divison, though I can see how it would be confusing. The raw text itself also didn't really make any sense either so I phrased it the best way I could imo

Now that the Eternal question when it comes to fantasy series. Can you use magic to cheese thermodynamics and create a perpetual motion machine?

I'm willing to bet there's probably some "conservation" clause like you can use magic but only get a fraction of the work out of it, making perpetual motion machine impractical.

I'm confused why the music club is so against the alchemy club, when apparently the alchemy club have chosen to focus on instruments. Did they create an instrument that exploded on the user, and they're still sour about that? Because the music clubs love of music seemed far to intense to hate on a club pursuing music to that degree.

Might not be the entire music club, just the princess and her circle of friends. Besides, inventors are supposed to be a bit weird, don't they? It's how they can envision inventions that can make life better and then make it a reality, rather than simply going "it is what it is" like regular people. I can certainly see how they clash with the music club, that emphasizes elegance and grace.

It makes sense if you think about how many of the nobles so far are interested in mainly appearances and status, while students interested in alchemy are more interested in making tools than appearances (look at their clothes this chapter). It's not really the music club, but rather the princess's clique (who are also not nice people).

People in magic departments tend to have...'unique' personalities.
Then the alchemy club members tend to ignore not-alchemy stuffs...like washing their lab coat (note how worn down/dirty it looks)

So it's not so much the music club as more 'normal nobles' view them as weirdos among weirdos.

Later on even Patience herself eventually couldn't stand it and clean them up with magic.

Being able to perform multiple classics on top of studying and maid duties is superhuman.

I don't think the author appreciates just how powerful they made MC's memory and coordination.
Well, the author can just go and says "actually, she used to play piano professionally in her previous life when she was young..." or something

To quote the novel, when she was checking if she'd be able to skip a grade:
I had Patience’s memories of playing an instrument similar to a piano, and I myself had played the piano quite a bit during my previous life. I hadn’t been talented enough to go to college for it or anything, but I’d been able to play my favorite songs, so I would probably do fine in my classes here.

Patience, aren't you already too busy to see your brothers as much as you want? Stop taking more extracurriculars!

Man, the accessories and garments of all the nobles, and especially noble ladies are done so well, they each have their own unique charm, its very refreshing to look at everyone. Love the depiction of everyone's formal wear and school clothes, but keeping it simple enough that it's easy on the eyes.

Thanks for the translations!
