Yes, though I feel like usagi drop has more impact than "random character get raped 8 chapters in" because of how drawn out it is and because of the expectation that he would go for the teacher instead. That twist is what really got me. Oh, and the grooming.
Okay i didn't get what was great about gal cleaning, but neither do you. It's not only about the sudden twist, it's appreciating the clean house. About the subtle romance of cleaning after your slobby gal, even though you can't stand gals. Because the only thing you can't stand even less is an untidy house.

I should've been more specific, I was talking about usagi drops and gal cleanings unexpected endings, not necessarily the actual meat of the manga. I enjoyed it to a degree. It just felt like the romance was only subtle enough to enjoy to emphasize how it became less and less focused on cleaning and then the rape, which really waters everything down in retrospect. The first 4 chapters and half of chapter 5 are the best in my opinion.
