Greetings. This is my first post. I’ve been reading the forums and reacting to posts ever since the debacle of chapters 128–131, and you’ve all helped me understand the story a bit better, but what happened in chapter 135 has completely thrown me off track. There’s only one chapter left now, but I can’t see a happy ending for Shinobu, nor do I really understand the point of the story after three years of serialisation if, as it seems, he ends up being betrayed twice...

Hallo~

There is no normal person logic per say for what happens here in 135. We see Shinobu chat with Ryusei, he gets inspired and brings out the gift from Sakura to finish off his storyboards, then meets with Fumi where she see's the pen resembling the one she saw Sakura buy as a gift and presumably she gets jealous here on top of the insecurities we see in her around ch 134. One month time skip later, they're filming, and Fumi seemingly off-scripts for the cliffhanger as Shinobu himself appears surprised, but someone here did suggest the possibility that this is STILL on script and that it could just be an involuntary reaction on Shinobu's part (but he did revise the script for no nudity as a contradiction).

A happy ending for Shinobu is for sure hard to see, but he CAN resolve things with Fumi if that is the intent from the writer still, even if the one month time skip makes this seem difficult given the context. The issue is that this just focuses on the ShiFumi conflict while Sakura is likely to come back into focus more in the final chapter. There's no indicators that the MC's are bound to cross paths, but note that their final interaction if this remains true to the end, will be the breakup text message that Sakura sent, so there's maybe a chance at an accidental meeting at this point to close out the story.

There's no real defense for the rugpull after 3 years, maybe the ending proves to be an amazing turnaround that changes this but if we assume ShiFumi falls apart while fucboiXSakura find their happily ever after by reconciling their struggling relationhip then it can only be called a scorched earth spiteful ending for KA in response to fan and publisher backlash.

Shinobu deserves better and many are hoping he get's the ending he deserves and wants.

Weird to say but think of it as a certified KA transition event into the final chapter as it now shifts focus back to the MC's feelings. Shinobu will need to confront Fumi, and Sakura to confront fucboi to see where both relationships go from here on out. Still getting some odd parallel between MCs to the very end.

I can see a world where ShiFumi works it out, but I don't want to see a world where fucboiXSakura works out. Fucboi admits he forced the relationship and might've skipped some steps (damn sherlock) and now he can't control her decisions (Mio powah!) so he's struggling over what to do, now you're going to tell me with some blonde assisst in the next chapter he'll get Sakura to stay with him happily ever after, jfc KA please.
Yea anything but Fuckboi and Sakura.et her go fuckboi.. let her go. 😔

But yea the more I see it the more I'm seeing the parallels to their experiences. It's not 1 to 1 but definitely similar circumstances.

Well, we give our opinions and I think there's no one here who 100% understands what Airi wants to tell hahahahaha and many times we can end up overanalyzing things (slippers 134 and drawings 135).

If I had to give my opinion, Shinobu will definitely have a "happy" ending. I think he will end up with either Sakura or Fumi, I find it very hard to believe he will end up alone. If I had to bet, I would say he will end up with Sakura.

Oh absolutely not 1:1

I just hate how they keep trying push fucboi's genuine feelings as justification for what he did as if Shinobu's feeling weren't ever genuine. All this over a misunderstanding still yet to be resolved. Honestly no clue how the final chapter goes, but seeing all the loose parallels to this point surely has to mean something, at least one meeting between Shinobu and Sakura to clear the air and go their respective way if they must.

I had a rough idea of how things played out but then Fumi pulled her stunt.

But then again we were all hyped for Nagi coming back but she turned out to do what we all DIDN'T want her to do and simply became a cameo and nothing more by the looks of it. Unless she shows up next chapter with Mio.

So we go back to team scorched earth?:win:
Join Team Harem, they have nothing to lose.

I totally forgot about the slippers thing but that was also a catch that made me a bit unsettled for a bit. I'm not confident in bets anymore after losing them all to box, I'll just be happy as long as Shinobu gets an ending with someone that he can be happy with like queen Mio even.

Yea that's what I'm worried about.
All the build up of 102 chapters just for them to seperate, find new partners and stay with them. They meet, reconcile, thank each other for inspiring them on the paths they're on then go separate ways.

It's an "Eh.. I guess that makes sense" ending if I've ever seen it happening.

Heck even Mio had a bigger impact than that bum Nagi

A Nagi redemption moment in the final chapter could be interesting, she's more closely tied to the theme of sex scenes than Mio. Mio's reappearance might only be in the epilogue if at all if I want to admit.

I mean that’s a good ending in my book and the one I was hoping to see after the signs that their relationship is in danger appeared. Both of them found happiness with Someone else. The only difference was that they gradually grew distant and then broke up because they realized they couldn’t match their schedules so they decided to split amicably. But then came chapter 128 and everything went out the window

Welcome to the discussion. LOL

You beat me because I only showed up in chapter 129 because, like you, I usually just read without commenting. LOL

IMHO, the confusion you and everyone feel the same is because Airi Katsura (sensei) is mentally ill. So sad.

She created irrational and inconsistent plot because an insane person acts impulsively without thinking things through. She just does whatever pops into her head, constantly throwing us off track.

She repeatedly do things she shouldn't like she lacks a brain or common sense while failing to do the things that actually make sense.

I’m not trying to bash AK (sensei) but I am certain she is mentally ill and needs to receive medical treatment immediately.

It's an "okay" ending because the glaring issue of the misunderstanding never being resolved doesn't happen.

Sakura simply gets away with her actions and Shinobu suffered for it for no reason even if he's happy with Fumi by this point.

It's that one issue that's making it hard for me to really appreciate whatever ending they do. Just to gloss over that major moment and never bring it up again? Especially when Sakura tells Mio and Nagi he cheated? Like come on.

Okay I probably wasn’t clear enough my apologies.
The ending I hoped for was before 129 happened. Both of them were busy and gradually had less and less time to spend together so they decided it would be best to go their separate ways.

It looks like he won’t even meet Mio and Nagi so that whole schtick was a nothingburger anyway.

I do think there is a chance Sakura can still learn the truth here in the final chapter, just unclear how much of an impact it'll have, could be beeg, could be smol. What would suck is if KA decides to have the sub plots continue as they are to the end in complete isolation meaning Shinobu and Sakura never meet and the ending is just to show them working things out with their respective partners...

Makes for a boring ahh ending type

You call it boring, I call it safe. For Shinobu and Fumi at least

Like I said. "Makes sense" but doesn't mean it's satisfying. It's clear the two thinking of one another pushed then to do what they did.

The other issue here is how Fuckboi and Fumi are taking it. Similar circumstances. Fuckboi contemplating the relationship as a whole and thinking of what to do. He at least had Blondie give him some advice.

Fumi however had no one to talk to. Help her decide what she should do. So she acted of her own accord even if good intent was involved.

So I'm just baffled about it all. Would have much preferred this chapter being a build up of the main leads meeting.

Don’t need the main leads meeting when shinobu is supposed to get a bad end :shamihuh:
