When I read the light novel, I was pretty sure it was implying she was wielding a tommy gun. But Japanese people dislike guns so we got this monstrosity. This is quite a bit condensed I think? Originally they went back to the home before going to Carla, and Louise had significant scenes in the arena.

All the talk about the guns, in the book it said the gun was a way too big for her, so an uzi-like weapon doesn't make sense. The author likes Warhammer 40k and stuff, making him a rare one to put guns in his books. Another gun-centric Isekai was Villager A will Save the Villainess No Matter What (which is a little derivative of this series). I think that manga handles the guns better...

But with how rushed and condensed the finale for volume 4 is being I am worried this series might be facing the axe and the mangaka is trying to get to a good stopping point.

While part 2 isn't as good as part 1 was; I am enjoying Marie's growth as well as the Bumbling 4 Marie Harem members actually learning stuff.

Villager A will Save the Villainess No Matter What and this story have a very similar premise in the broad strokes but the biggest difference comes with the antagonist. This story's reveal Marie is actually Leon's old sister makes her begrudgingly a sympathetic character and the author has done well to let her grow without having her heel face turn in personality. The fact they figured out their familial ties effectively squashed their largest grievance with the other. Leon has no problem still treating with degrees of contempt and valid criticism but he still treats her like a big brother would. They had their issues but they were family. Its also fun to see it from the other side as well, Marie actually willingly praises her brother, faults and all for being ridiculously prepared and figures out her job without any prompt. That is a very sibling like behavior.

This is vol. 4 material. They've skipped quite a bit of it to quickly get to the final act of this arc, so I guess the concern is warranted.

The first three volumes of light novel were the stuff back in the original country. Volume four is the one with Pierre, and we are approaching the end of the volume in a very rushed manner. Lots of adaptations of light novels get cancelled before running out of source material.
